Not sure of the story. You can find diverse shops. Clothing, shoes, jewelry, hair accessories, sports, novelty, and a food court. We enjoyed walking in and out of different shops. We had fun in a vintage store with cool books. The Hot Topic store was a hit with the kids. They loved the Anime shirts!! When we got hungry, the food court saved us!! Overall, it's a decent mall. I used to really dislike this store, about a decade ago when it was relatively new to the mall. In…read morefact I even worked there for a very very short time in 2005, when it was dirty and cluttered and they still sold hermit crabs out of glass tanks. The guy running it back then was completely scary. Things have changed a lot and all seemingly for the better. It's a very different store, still offbeat but a lot more like you expect from a mall store and less like a poorly run head shop. For me that's a positive. I know not everyone agrees. The staff has been extremely helpful and friendly on all of my visits in the past several years, and I've found some very fun & unique accessories and even a couple of home decor items, although my tastes don't run much to bohemian styles they do have quite a range. It is a fun place for gift shopping and they have some excellent sales from time to time, making for far better bargains than at slightly similar novelty shops in the mall.

I have found air fryers, electric kettles, charcoal grills, toys, ice chests, and so many other things all for $6 or less. I never know what I will find, so it is super exciting to shop here. It is like having Black Friday every day. I have seen medical equipment like a shower chair and bedside commode, brand new, go for as low as $1. They have some higher end items in the store too that are able to be purchased for a huge discount. I bought a $139 formal dress here for $25. Most of all I appreciate the owners and staff. They are all so kind and greet you with a friendly smile. They are accommodating to people who are handicap. Today they got a chair for an elderly lady to sit in while we shopped. If you have problems with the steps give them a call and they will open a side door. I have won a hair straightener for being the first customer in the door. Two lucky girls just won trips to Branson from her store. She has general merchandise, toys, clothing and jewelry. If you live nearby it is definitely the place to shop. It's cute on the outside and doesn't really look like a thrift store but fits in more with Route 66 nostalgia of the area. Once inside, it's about the size of a roomy two car garage or perhaps the family room in a large private home. Not a lot to see, really. They have pretty dated merchandise and pricing is a simple scheme where almost every item is the same price. So with that, you can find some amazing deals and then a lot of things that are not quite worth the price. It's a wash, really. I saw an ad for this store in a local magazine and I think my expectations were a bit too high going in. It's not bad. Currently they're open Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm, so hurry over if you're not a Baxter Springs resident and want to check it out. I think they're open most (if not all) weekdays, too.
