It is a down to Earth take on fancy antique stores, where most items have a real story behind them and are authentic, true antique pieces. Because of this you may get sticker shock at times but it's worthwhile. These people clearly know their merchandise and I would feel confident making even a larger purchase here. There's a fairly wide selection of items in here, about what you'd expect for an antique mall of this size. While other antique malls in the area have a larger selection, this one was still fun to browse through. It wasn't overly cluttered, though there wasn't much that I felt like I REALLY needed to take home with me. Not junk necessarily, but nothing that would improve my home or my life majorly. I also found that a lot of the booths were a bit overpriced? This seems to be a problem in the Joplin area specifically, as antique malls in other nearby cities (Springfield, Kansas City, Branson, etc) all seem to have lower prices on average than what you can find in JOMO. Still, there are some hidden treasures if you're willing to look! - I particularly enjoyed the booth close to the front with all the Pokemon cards. They'll make great stocking stuffers when the holidays come around :) - The booth on the left side with handmade ceramics was also awesome! Very reasonably priced and unique, interesting work. It's quite full and has a wide range of merchandise, but you can tell it's still pretty new. Prices overall are very good and the store space is the cleanest it has been in many years (we have previously visited this storefront as many other businesses). I found a couple of small "can't live without it" items and will definitely be back occasionally. I really hope they do well here.

I could seriously sit around in here and just stare at the lamps for hours. The man running the place is very nice and knowledgeable about his extremely curated collection. I enjoyed chatting with him about some 1930s erotic bronze statues that had - another rare find. I would have loved to bring one home but alas, I have a queen's taste and a scullery maid's salary. The prices are high. They're higher than I would ever be able to pay. I'm not saying these things aren't worth it. If I had that kind of money, I'd be spending it in a heartbeat. It's absolutely worth it to stop and look just to admire the beauty of times gone by.
