First of all their work was impeccable with incredible attention to detail. The paint job just looks amazing. They did thorough prep work on our walls which hid any previous blemishes. I feel that the price was an incredible value. CJ and his wife were very easy to deal with (none of the typical contractor games where the contractor implies you're a bit of an idiot). Rodrigo was able to fix some drywall issues that the drywaller missed, explained my paint choices and how my choice of glossy actually extenuated the visibility of any anomalies with the drywall. Oliver and his guys do pretty good work but the communication over schedule and money was really bad and unprofessional and I was constantly catching little mistakes in the work and having to ask for them to be addressed. I was out of town when the project began. I returned to find a house that had received two coats but obviously needed a third. Oliver quickly agreed and later, after many delays and drama, did the third coat as well as other aspects of the project that he had left unfinished. When he and I discussed this part of the project and I asked why he hadn't applied the third coat without me asking for it when it was obvious to his expert eye that it was necessary, he told me that he doesn't speak up when he notices things like that. He said that he waits to see if the client complains about it so he doesn't have to do unnecessary extra work. This told me all I needed to know about his work ethic. I will not be using Midwest Painting again.
