Living nearby, we are fairly frequent visitors to the establishment, and are always impressed with the politeness of the staff and quality of the service. An interesting fact also is that the pub is the only known English pub to have been used by the actor John Wayne! You will need to head in there early and bag a seat when anything like that is on! The staff are friendly and chatty and there are quite often regulars from the village in there. There is no paper menu as all dishes are written up on the chalk board and the menu changes on a regular basis.
