Tanya is amazing. She was my doula and I could not have gone through birth without her. She was at my house as soon as I needed her and seamlessly transitioned to the hospital when we ended up needing to go that route. She helped my husband do comfort measures when he could. She also brought out her singing bowl which really helped get through difficult contractions. I loved that part. She also offers a Reiki session to her doula clients, which I found to be extremely helpful. Our 11 year old dog was in really bad shape. Not only does he have severe arthritis, we believe he injured himself while we were away. All of the sudden he could barely walk, he was falling over, very unbalanced, and it was clear he was in pain and discomfort. Someone recommended we tried Reiki. Tanya came over to our house the first time. She was very kind and I picked up on her healing energy right off the bat. And so did Winston because as soon as she started, within 3 minutes, he was in a deep sleep laying on his side. She was able to feel the heat coming from his body and injured area. After the treatment, he seemed younger, more energetic, and was definitely moving around easier. I wouldn't say he was ready to walk 5 miles, but just moving around day to day, he experienced relief. Our second session was at her new location in Truckee. My husband took him and he said the room was really clean and nice. As far as the second session went, he didn't relax until near the end of the session, but likely he wasn't in as much pain as the first session and he was excited to sniff around and check things out. But I wasn't there so, I don't know! After, he is really happy, fired up, and seems all around mentally and physically like he's doing better. I cant recommend having a doula enough!! We were blessed to have Tanya Fuller by our side, of Mana Doula of Tahoe, for the birth of our beautiful daughter Kate in September in South Lake Tahoe. It was the absolute best decision we made. She was a HUGE support during pregnancy & labor, for both me and my partner.
