I didn't wan't a big breakfast prior to lunch so I decided to stop by PJ's for a breakfast sandwich and coffee. I last visited a PJ's when I was in NOLA last year. This morning I ordered a Turkey sausage with egg and cheese sandwich, on an English Muffin. It was surprisingly good! It's actually better than Starbucks sausage, egg and cheese sandwich. What I loved about it is that the English Muffin was soft and not over baked. Coffee was great. I took it with me and finished it later. I also ordered a cinnamon walnut coffee cake. The coffee cake was a great compliment to the coffee. Staff was friendly here and it didn't take that long to receive my order. If you're looking for lighter breakfast and staying in or around Tillman's Corner, I recommend checking out PJ's. My bill of sale was reasonable priced as well. I'll definitely return here when in Mobile again.

Disclaimer - This review is based on MY experience alone…read more I have visited this place a total of 3 times. The first experience was fine, no problem. The second experience, I was met with attitude when I asked a question about a menu item - maybe the barista was having a bad day. The final experience occurred when I asked the barista is there an up-charge for syrup on the walls (not all coffee shops charge for this, btw). The barista responds, "No problem I can do that do that for you," and proceeds to make my drink. I look at my receipt and see that there was in fact, a charge for the syrup walls. Now this is a matter of integrity and principle. If there is an up-charge, then be "up-front" about it, especially when asked. Being shady or evasive about pricing a good way to gain loyal customers. Needless to say, this was my final time patronizing this establishment. Poor customer service is not a good look, especially in times of economic posterity. I'll take my money/business elsewhere. If a manager/supervisor actually reads these reviews, I strongly suggest reviewing the importance of pricing transparency and soft skills with staff.

One note: the Google maps gps tells you to turn on McFarland to get to the restaurant but that goes to another building. You should stay on Cottage Hill and turn left just after you cross McFarland. When I entered the restaurant a woman greeted me and told her that I had an online order. There was another woman in, I believe, the kitchen area. They were very helpful. They explained that if I ordered on their site or app that the biscuits are always $5 on Friday. I ordered from Yelp which in turn directed me to DoorDash. That was great to know. When I got home the biscuit was still warm. It looked amazing. It's sort of a square shape. Anyway, it was delicious. The patty sausage was amazing. The biscuit was fluffy and light. I rarely venture pass the fuel counter - the staff here was very friendly and efficient so although I have to make two trips inside one to prepay and another to retrieve my actual receipt I'm used to their protocols so it is what it is. Nothing bad or surprising here diesel fuel is dirty but they seem to be on top of things here most Love's location periodically pressure wash the fuel island and have buckets of soapy water and bug sponges and squeegee near each fuel pump (the ones I used this visit needs replacement they are a little worn). There's no doubt I'll stop again if I need fuel when I'm back in the area since Love's is my fuel stop of choice, trust me they are next level when compared to a lot of their competitors...

You know how them grocery store cakes look good and everything but you take a bite and it's like you just swallowed a spoonful of beach sand? Definitely not the case with Ms Kelly's cake.
