This review is for one of their tiny houses, The Forest. I've spent time in a few different tiny houses with similar set ups (bed lofted above the kitchen), and The Forest isn't much different. The kitchen is equipped with a hot plate, microwave/oven, toaster, coffee pot, and full sized fridge - for us this got the job done and we were able to prepare a full spaghetti dinner and breakfast in the morning (the restaurant was closed for the season). The bathroom is a full bathroom, although of course tight on space, and the shower water pressure felt uh-mazing after a full day of hiking in the Hoh rain forest. Be aware that they have a small hot water tank and allow for time between showers/dishes for the water to heat back up. Overall this was a good one night stay for us as we headed down the coast into Portland. I'd recommend again.

Bathroom very small..prolly about 4 feet from the door to the toilet and about 3-4 feet across in the stall

We stopped for lunch, not many options and this one was a winner. We both had the Sol Duc Hot Dog. The chips and fries made fresh.

The cabin is cozy, clean and very comfortable. The owners are friendly and welcoming, and I will go back each time I stay here.

Whenever we make a trip to Forks we make it a point to get food here. Seriously the best. Made fresh and their milkshakes are to die for!

Is there fire pits in every tent site?

Yes, there are fire pits in every site. However due to unusually dry, hot summers the last few years. The county fire marshal implemented fire bans during those months for those years. When total fire bans are put in place, then the only outdoor… Read more

TEAM FORKS was one of the most entertaining tours I have ever been on…read moreand believe me I have been on many tours from studio tours to walking tours in several countries and this by far was well worth the journey into Forks, Washington. I went with a couple friends, one who was a non-Twilighter, but was soon converted once she experienced this tour. We signed up for the $40 Bella Sunset tour from 6-9 pm which was a tour of the locations inspired by the Stephenie Meyer Twilight Saga and also included areas that were somewhat featured in the movies as well. Our tour guide/driver/photographer/bonfire cook was Randy, the husband of Debbie who helps coordinate these tours on www.teamforks.com. The tour cost $43.40 which included taxes and fees and easily payable online. Debbie let us know via email that this tour was similar to the other ones they advertise on their website, but this one includes a bonfire complete with hot dogs and smores. Being the food lover and Twi-Hard fan, I convinced my friends to purchase this tour to which they agreed was a fairly reasonable price. Randy drove us to several locations such as: Cullen house, Swan house, Police station, Fork's high school, and get this...LA PUSH BABY, LA PUSH! Yes this is the only tour group allowed on Jacob Black's Indian reservation!!! So if you are a fan of the Twilight mania, then book your tour through Team Forks and it will be an adventure that will you make you sparkle everytime!

The water and the scenery were absolutely beautiful, but your feet do get wet so I recommend bringing water shoes. When you get in the boat initially you do have to wade into the water, so water shoes and rolled up pants definitely make the rest of the ride more enjoyable. Would definitely go again!

She took us to a tucked away swimming hole with a waterfall to play in. We saw three herds of cow elk, and acutally had to pull off to a beach to let them wade across in front of us. The river and weather were beautiful with a perfect blue sky to top it off. After the run, we stopped at her cafe up the street for dinner, which was also great. Not only was to tour and food wonderful, the staff were all very accomodating. The best customer service, which suites the small town:) We missed our initial kayak time because of road construction on our way from the Hoh campground. No big deal, they said, because they were able to put us on the afternoon tour instead. After the ride, it was getting close to the grill at the cafe to close. So, they called the cook to let us know we were on our way, and they stayed open a bit longer so we could have a hot meal. Next time, we plan to do the lower half of the river. And, hopefully, get in on the day run because there is usually more wildlife at that time.

The wife took the reservations and the husband, Travis, ran the tour in a 13-passenger tour bus that had seatbelts. Tours cost about $40 a person, which seemed a tad high to me, but I can't fault them for making money off of the Twilight hoopla before it dies down. Travis was very personable and kept up a jovial chatter throughout the tour, including some Twilight trivia. The sites in La Push were far more interesting than those in Forks. The La Push beach is amazing, and it turns out that there are rental cabins right on the beach and that you can pay for a beach fire permit from the Quileute tribe. Wish we had known that in advance! There's even some annual event when the tribe elders tell old stories by the fire. That could really be worth the trip. The sights in Forks aren't nearly as interesting. The community medical center where Carlisle Cullen worked and police station where Charlie Swan worked and the local high school are the only real-life places on the tour. Otherwise, it's just 3 houses that are rented out to tourists as Jacob's, Bella's and the Cullen house, even though they don't match the book descriptions or the movie. They are just the closest approximations within the town. I'm pretty sure they could have padded the tour a bit with mentions of the outdoor gear store where Bella worked, or the diner where Charie and Bella ate, or other miscellaneous mentions in the book, some of which seemed to be real places that we passed. Instead, there was a bit too much emphasis on the tourist-trap shopping opportunities for Twilight fans, local restaurants (there are no more than 10) and the few entertainment options in town. The tour wasn't quite worth the money, but I'm glad we did it. If you make this trip, consider staying two nights. It's a very long drive from Seattle for just a one night stay. The eco-tourism in the region is well worth an additional night.
