The home goods section was nicely organized by color which I appreciated. However, I did notice that many of the plates and home decor were priced pretty high like $15.99 for a handmade ceramic plate. However, like other Unique locations, there were three colored tags on sale so that brought some of the higher prices down. They also had many toy aisles that I was pleasantly surprised to see because it was a wide selection and everything looked to be in decent condition. The clothing selection was very big as well, compared to two other locations I've visited, which was great because I was looking for some summer clothes. As usual, the clothing was organized by size which makes shopping so much easier. The brands were also great, with Anne Taylor, Loft, Target, H&M, just to name a few. The entire experience was humiliating and meant to humiliate. She rolled her eyes at valuables like designer shoes and large brass candelabras inside the bins. I had some heavier bins. Neighbors unrelated to this organization off the street helped me while this woman said "we don't do that here" (I grew up Christian, and these are not Christian values). She looked up and down at me and asked if I "even had children's clothes" and I said "I didn't think so." Whatever baby stuff was in there was high quality and unused. She locked eyes with me for a while scowling. She rolled her eyes later at the designer diaper bag with tag still affixed. I left crying. There are many other more reputable places in the area that are kind, more down to earth and cater towards middle-class clientele. They found it and said they will drop it off with me, but they never showed. They have been giving me the run around and silent treatment for over two weeks now. They don't respond to my calls when they see my number. I tried to get them to send it to me via mail, but they insisted that I come and pick it up in their office in Union City. When I got there, there was nobody at their office. I called several times and when someone picked up, they ask me to come back the next day between 8:00am and 8:15am, that everyone was in a meeting in a different location. Please do not drop your clothes off in their vans. Go to Goodwill or Salvation Army instead. I doubt that this is even a legitimate business, and they obviously don't care about people. They should not be on the streets of New Jersey cities.

Like moderately wealthy people dump their clothes here that they are bored with on the regular. The only downside I would say is that the place smells terrible and feels dirty. It smells like cigarettes and musk. If you do buy anything make sure you wash it in the laundry well.

You need to clear it with them first to make sure it's something that they take, but they will also pick up bags of clothes that are within their donation guidelines. And if you bring over your donations yourself, they reimburse your cab fare up to $25. Check their website or call to confirm the details. It's really a fantastic perk and sets them apart from other resale shops. A great place to get fun clothes and unique furniture or housewares.

He immediately said NO YOU CANNOT WAIT HERE and grabs his radio as if he was going to call someone else for backup?? Extremely rude and hostile. I live in a doorman building in midtown and have never seen them act like this when receiving guests. I understand the need to keep the space open with covid but it took me less than 5 minutes to contact Oscar. I walked all the way from 10th for this reception. Never again. I'll be looking for other places to donate clothing and will make sure to pass along the message.

They are a woman led organization that offers help in interviewing skills, allows women to get free business clothing for interviews and helps them learn how to function in a professional workplace. The goal is for the women to become self-sufficient, an aim I can certainly get behind. One of the things Bottomless Closet does is take clothing donations for women from the general public. I recently stopped by here to donate business clothing that was too big on me. There are a number of things I like about this organization: 1. They have their public records available online so you can review where any financial donation you give goes to. I did not see corporate greed when I investigated. 2. They are a local charity helping local women. I firmly believe charity begins at home & for those who feel likewise, this seems a good place to take respectable business clothing that no longer fits. 3. The staff I dealt with were polite, friendly and informative, particularly the woman I spoke to on the phone before dropping off my clothes. I did not get the attitude that my clothing donation meant nothing to them & they just wanted to get money. They have a high demand for plus sizes but the woman I spoke to said my size 5-7 items would be appreciated. 4. They have evening hours on Tuesday evenings so if you do not have time to do their regular clothing drop off (Monday-Thursday from 9-5 p.m.), you can call and arrange a drop off then. Now, it IS a little tricky to get here but all you have to do is go into the Hotel Pennsylvania and take the elevator to their suite (a lower level from the main floor). They have tax forms right at the front desk and they will let you leave the clothing right there. Another important detail: you can NOT get clothing here unless you are one of their clients. This means whatever you donate will actually go to a woman in NYC who needs it. They also DO NOT take men's clothing. This is STRICTLY women's business clothing. I may end up donating more items here if I can't get alterations on some things that I've never or rarely been able to wear.
