I originally stopped in because it was recommended by Pinwheel Records, and I'm really glad I did. The shop has an incredible selection and the staff was extremely knowledgeable. Drew especially was fantastic to talk with. I asked about local Chicago music and he immediately had great recommendations and insight into the scene. One of the coolest things about the shop is that 606 has its own label, and I was able to pick up a limited release of Balance: A Compilation Without Boundaries -- featuring artists with parallels to the city of Chicago, experimenting sonically & balanced with music.  You can tell this place genuinely cares about music discovery and supporting artists. Definitely worth a stop if you're digging around Chicago for records beyond the usual mainstream finds. I was traveling and like Pinwheel, 606 was also able to ship my purchases home for me. Shops like this proved to me the Chicago music scene is extremely vibrant!

The store is extremely big, the service was quick and things were easy to find utilizing the store website, reckless.com. The prices were pretty average, around $15 for a new CD and $30 for vinyl. I didn't check the prices for cassettes, but I'm sure they were great. They also had posters of popular albums, featuring art from various artists. They also had used console games, for Xbox One, PS4, retro Nintendo consoles, and I even saw a few SEGA Dreamcast games! This place is nothing short of heaven for music lovers!

There were so many incredible gems to be found, spanning every single genre. I ended up purchasing a couple of James Taylor records, a Bad Bunny record, Hilary Duff and an obscure country music record. They also had a very thick guide to the town of Andersonville available for free which I found just totally awesome. It was jam packed with info about a ton of local restaurants, activities and local events. The staff here were super knowledgeable, happy to help and downright great. I felt very happy to have found this gem of a place and will def be back the next time I'm in town.

The staff at Let's Boogie has been working dilligently to get the store more organized, and the items priced. There is stuff everywhere, from vintage vinyl, CD'S, tapes, DVDS and even VHS. They are still actively buying and getting new sealed albums also. I found a bunch of stuff I didn't know I was looking, and a few I left behind because I was over my budget. Prices are comparable to what you would find on Discogs but you may be able to work something out with the owner. Enjoy!! My fiancé and I strolled in one afternoon and so happy we did. Let's Boogie has a great selection of rock, jazz, blues, new wave, house and dance records. We picked a bunch at reasonable prices too. When we were ready to check out, we met Jason who runs the store. He showed us old family photos of the store through the years. This is definitely a Bridgeport staple so it's great to see a new generation of customers coming though. I'll definitely make it a Saturday tradition to visit Let's Boogie!

Best record store in Chicago, period…read more I lived in Lincoln Square for 4 years and made it a part of my regular routine to stop here on my walk home from the train station at least once a week. They are always getting new goodies in so you have to go often or you might miss something good! Very well organized. Insane selection of vinyl, CDs and actually a good book collection in the back. From brand new music to classics from the 60's, they carry it all. And eclectic stuff that is tough to find. The people who work there will become your friends. Gem store in the best 'hood in Chicago!
