Whether he voted for Tom, Dick, or Harry I believe church is a place where politics should not be brought up. Hopefully they change because it was a great church!

Go and see for yourself. The pastor and all the people that work there (are all volunteers, except for a few people) they are great and they treat you with respect, compassion and love! They do have bible study divided by age and they happen in different days, some on Sunday, some on Wednesdays. They do have separate worship for kids divided by age also. The kid's area is huge and again, the volunteers are amazing! The service happens on Sundays from 10-11 am with communion at the end of the ceremony. At the entrance of the worship area you grab a tiny sealed cup with a piece of bread and grape juice. Also, they do not ask for your money!! Sometimes maybe 2 or 3 times a year they touch the subject money. They help the community a lot. If you go frequent enough you will see, they help the community in many different ways. Anyway, if you are looking for a simple place where you can get to know God through Jesus, then this is the right place for you. I really enjoy the environment and highly recommend it.

Just to mention a few: International Student Ministry Sports Ministry and the list goes on. One Sunday I had the opportunity to visit a service led by Doctor Jeremy Morton. Powerful presentation and great seremon. I personally just prefer more low keyed preaching but he seems to be very well liked. The choir and the music were my favorites. Those singers had wonderful voices and the music was very uplifting. The coolest thing was the baptism pool above the stage. You could actually see people being baptized in front of the entire congregation. That Sunday there were eight people who had been saved. Just to mention another great thing that this church has to offer are the thrift store, English language classes and assistance with Naturalization Applications. They offer free American history class every Wednesday evening so that people will learn about our country's history, government and how our judicial system works. Amazing, that these teachers are happy to do it. That is truly God's work. Thanks to freedom of religion in our country we all can choose the place where we worship. This place is definitely worth the try, if you are looking for a church to call home.

I was alone, and didn't have anyone greet me or come ask me my name. I came early and even hung around at the end to see if there were any circles of people my age or just women or people in general to talk to, and no one made eye contact or tried to find out who I was so I felt pretty bummed. But also it was just a first visit so I guess I can't make a full judgement unless I were to give it a few chances. But overall, it's worth checking out.

The good - a couple of super friendly parking attendants who gave directions, etc. Another good is the pastor did teach very much from scripture, John 5: 23-29. He gave a lot of Greek language understanding, which I appreciated. The needs of improvement. Once I got into the auditorium, it was well less than half full when music started. That is perhaps a peeve of mine. As a member, you know when it starts - be ready, be prepared. I'm a pretty outgoing guy, but no one spoke to me once in the building - No One. I sat down behind some folks, aside of others - No One spoke at all. My cologne isnt so bad as to cause no one to sit close or even speak. It was Palm Sunday, Jesus' Triumphal Entry of Christ to Jerusalem. The first song had absolutely NO "umph" or excitement to kick off a worship service - none, and it didn't get much better from there. I'd say less than half the worshipers were singing at all. We have an amazing savior to praise - to relish in worship. Not the case on my visit here. The pastor, though sticking with the text - John 5 - and giving the Greek words - gave almost no illustrations, stories or application. I'm happy about your recent trip to the holy land, but please tell me how it helps here in N Atl. Perhaps as a former pastor, having gone to conferences all over the country, I'm a tough critic. As i continue my search i doubt i will be back. I am looking for exciting spirit filled worship, contagious Christianity. I'm longing to find solid biblical teaching, but with application also sincerely, Scott
