After a long search, my wife and I prayed about it, and God led us to North Metro. We've been a part of this church for 3+ years now. The greatest thing is that they seek to glorify God, teach and live the good news of Jesus Christ, and have a humble leadership team that listens to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. From a consumeristic side, yes, great facilities, organized worship, relevant teaching, great children's care, outreach, and pastoral services. But, the main thing is that they actually worship God first, then serve people second. This is rare among churches these days. May God bless us on our journey, being conformed into the image of Christ.

The worship is heartfelt and Christ-centered. The teaching is Gospel centered and Biblically based. They offer children's church for ages infant to 5th grade. Being that I have a local Church that I attend but it's difficult getting there being that the Marta Mobility and Marta transportation aren't reliable. There's been sometimes I have sat at the Marta North Springs Train Station have waited for the bus over two hours so I could go home. Last Sunday which was Easter Sunday I decided that I would try to going to a Church that's closer to my residence which I could get there riding my Mobility Wheelchair. Instead of being treated right as having " Best Day Ever " that a sign displayed on the outside of the Church said that I would. Instead, I was mistreated, discriminated and even had a church. Member taunt me and said to me that I was being unchristian. He said that to me while I was having a panic attack and my PTSD was triggered. I believe at Elevation Church they discriminate against people with disabilities,they put them in the very back of the church. Sitting in the back of the church, it's a complete trigger to me especially because I once had experienced something bad by sitting back the church. Plus, I have sight and hearing impairment sitting in the back, I can't comprehend or enjoy the service. Although several men in the church made room for me to sit up in the front where there should have a section up in the front for ones with disabilities especially ones that have hearing impairment, because it's easy to read lips of the speaker or if they have an interpreter it's easier for them. I totally felt extremely sad I couldn't believe the way I was talked to and was disrespected, I felt completely alone and that didn't nobody cared. Although they have my contact information and others have reached out to the Pastor and Church by email nobody has responded. Now , I don't feel safe to go to any Church in fear that will be mistreated like the way I was at Elevation Church. There were many ADA laws violated last Sunday and they really need to be educated on those laws and how they are in place to protect and govern individuals with disabilities and service dogs. Also, the ones who are in charge of being Ushers and Security needs Sensitivity and other trainings, especially when there's a lot of broken people that are coming to Church for to hear two words, be close to God and for healing. To treat them and make them feel uncomfortable is beyond extremely sad words. I know I will never ever step foot back in that church, and I probably disappointed in the way that they have acted . If you go to Google.com and search Lisa Groves Veterans, you'll see that I have provided Advocacy and assistance to numerous of Veterans and their families. Plus, I've been on 2 No Veteran Left Behind Driving Missions, I have never discriminate any Veteran, their families and individuals especially the homeless. Almost 4 years ago due to a botched surgery, injuries from Steroid and Cortizone injections I started experiencing numbness in my legs and feet to the point where I lost the ability to properly walk, which I ended up permanently in a Mobility Wheelchair. Which I was left on my own, I had to learn how to cope and how to live my life from a Mobility Wheelchair. I also learned that being in a Mobility Wheelchair some people don't treat you right and it's the same with me having 2 Service dogs. I pray that I will find a Church that I can go to that represents how God has instructed us to live, His true words is being preached, to be in the presence of people who are truly Christians and have the love of God in their hearts.

We were looking for a Christian contemporary service such as our old one In Pennsylvania. We found Pastor Courtney to be a lovable, biblical friendly speaker of the Word. It truly is a church of messy people inviting other messy people to enjoy the love of Jesus. It was explained to us that the church is redefining itself and is not bound by old traditions. We sing and praise with songs (hymns too) in both English and Spanish for the blended congregation who can choose from 8,10, or 12 AM Sunday services. We are one the cusp of offering adult classes in addition to the worship services. Child care is available at the services. And did I forget the coffee? Coffee is available as you come in. For visitors, the is a Welcome Center staffed all the time to answer your questions. Come grow with us! John U

Husband and I just moved to town, and we enrolled our son in Piedmont Academy at Piedmont Church…read more The facility is gorgeous, so while I toured the Academy, I inquired about the church - what type of service (contemporary/traditional), music, activities, etc. We came from a young non-denom, very contemporary church south of the city that recently opened the doors at their permanent home, and we loved the passion and authenticity of it. We're looking for that same vibe up here. We finally tried Piedmont yesterday. We went to the 9:30 AM service, and we were warmly greeted by the staff. We needed to check our son into the children's environment, so they walked us to where we needed to be. The church is gorgeous - almost like a mountain lodge. We were surprised to walk in to a sparsely attended service considering the size of the auditorium, and the fact that there are two services (maybe everyone goes to the 11AM?). The music is contemporary, but not as loud as we're used to. Dr. Reighard's message was good, but it was a little long-winded for me (he went over his timer on this particular day). The preaching felt a little more traditional. Our old pastor could speak a compelling message in 30 minutes, so we've gotten to where we really appreciate something concise. After service, they were giving people the opportunity to join life groups, and we noticed there were several tables set up, so they have a large selection of life groups to join. This would be a big plus for us if we were to join. Overall, I have nothing negative to say about our experience. I'm not sure the style of preaching is what we're looking for, but it can be an amazing church home for someone who enjoys something that teeters on the contemporary/traditional line.
