It was a place for my husband and I to grow and heal. You will hear God's truth revealed through scripture by expository preaching (going verse by verse of a chapter or section of a chapter in the bible.) You will NOT hear prosperity gospel, CRT, pro-choice, pro-LGBTQ+ lifestyles, or any other heretical things taught as "truth" because all those things are in opposition with God's order. These people know God, trust him, which leads them to obey him. They are NOT and will never be silent witnesses, BUT will fight and stand on the firm foundation of Christ for the sake that people may turn to God and repent to be reconciled with God through the perfect sacrifice of Jesus on the cross and have a personal relationship with him. As we drove up, we saw a small church tucked away in the trees near an old barn and some children's play equipment. The scene conjured up the feeling of a friendly, small town. Thankfully, that's exactly what it felt like inside. Tea and coffee was available on a table in the hallway. Several women greeted us, and after learning we were new, gave us some information and asked/answered questions. We immediately felt very welcome. In the main room, several rows of chairs are arranged in a circle around a table with candles. This set-up, where everyone is able to see everyone, allows for more connection and communication with others. Half of the time, it didn't feel like we were at church, but rather, some large meeting. The service was very unique. It was a little bit of tradition sprinkled with some modern aspects of worship, several prayers, communion, a sermon, and contemporary worship with lyrics on a projection screen. I couldn't tell who the pastor was -- several people led the service. Because of the circle arrangement, these people stood at different points in the room. Children were also included as part of the congregation; they were dismissed to their own group prior to the sermon and came back in before communion. The congregation was a great mix of ages: babies, kids, teenagers, young adults, parents, and the elderly. Everyone fit in. After attending a mega-church for awhile, this close-knit community church was a breath of much-needed fresh air. We left the church in a great mood. If you're looking for a unique, connected, spiritual community, try this. You might see me there.

I've attended The Orchard with my family for the past 20 years, and have found it to be a solid bible believing church. The senior pastor, Colin Smith, is a humble man and a faithful preacher who can be heard on 90.1 Moody radio. The Orchard is about roots, life, and fruit. They aim to help people dig deeper roots down into God's Word, share the life of Christ with others, and bear fruit in ministry. The church has been a blessing to me, my family, and to many others. In our group text, other members have introduced hot button topics that are controversial, yet Mike has not gone after them. But I made the one mistake of discussing our WOKE culture and in a private message was extremely hostile, unprofessional and he appears to have anger issues. All and all, I will not patronize or give money or support to a church that has WOKE staff with double standards.

This woman who is part of the prayer group walks past me a tells me that I look ugly and I am disrespecting God by crying. At a prayer meeting on Wednesday nights I was told to leave because no one knew me. I introduced myself and explained that the Priest of the Parish recommended the Wednesday night Prayer group. They said they don't care leave. Interesting how the Parish and Priest asked me for donations the next day. Not for me!
