She responded with the following message that suggests this MA does not have patience and she needs to fix her attitude (see attached screenshot). Also, it is very hard to reach this clinic. Sometimes I call several times throughout the day and it goes straight to voicemail (very frustrating). There is no menu where you can select the option to speak to appointment desk, MA, medical records, billing, etc. The problem is the receptionists handle all the incoming calls and they definitely need a phone menu to direct calls properly. If you need to speak to the MA about a medical issue, you have to speak to reception first to transfer and you can't always get a hold of someone in reception. UPDATE: I received a certified letter from the clinic (Dr Emily Rhodes) stating that I am fired as a patient (see attached letter). As a lgbtq patient, I am disheartened to be treated this way. This is retaliatory for speaking up and providing feedback for an obviously inappropriate response from a medical assistant. The certified letter inaccurately accused me of being disrespectful, while it is the medical assistant herself who is acting unprofessional. This clinic is overly aggressive and has dealt with my complaint by firing me. It is a shame for this clinic to be called lgbtq affirming and I encourage any patient especially LGBTQ and BIPOC to avoid this clinic like the plague.
