If you're interested in rocks and gems, there is a stall in the back with a sign that says: "rocks and minerals". The man who owns it used to own a rock or a jewelry store back in the day and as a result has a lot of good stock. (He also sells coins, for those who collect those.)He was helpful and a pleasure to shop with and I look forward to visiting his stall again. Another stall, not too far from his sells vintage photographs. He had a interesting collection but unfortunately did not buy anything since my partner, who was showing me around the area planned to take me to their favorite spot for vintage photos. I am giving this place two stars on the account of the other stalls carrying junk and that the environment could do some touch up. But then again it's a flea market so maybe that's asking too much. It is a down to Earth take on fancy antique stores, where most items have a real story behind them and are authentic, true antique pieces. It's cute on the outside and doesn't really look like a thrift store but fits in more with Route 66 nostalgia of the area. Once inside, it's about the size of a roomy two car garage or perhaps the family room in a large private home. Not a lot to see, really. They have pretty dated merchandise and pricing is a simple scheme where almost every item is the same price. So with that, you can find some amazing deals and then a lot of things that are not quite worth the price. It's a wash, really. I saw an ad for this store in a local magazine and I think my expectations were a bit too high going in. It's not bad. Currently they're open Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm, so hurry over if you're not a Baxter Springs resident and want to check it out. I think they're open most (if not all) weekdays, too.

I hate giving it a low star rating because I've found great items here at affordable prices and the staff is always friendly. But the hours and frequent closed days make it difficult to visit for out of towners or those who work Monday through Friday. My husband recently came in and found a half dozen pairs of pants that he would like to have purchased, but he needed to try them on and this store's signs state no dressing rooms (on the actual dressing room doors, no less). So I cannot go higher than 3 stars. Also, if you visit during their open hours and it looks closed, it's probably because they're using only the back door for entry now (as of July 2019).
