We picked this place because it had great reviews and now, I see why. The gentleman at the store was extremely helpful. I came in to fix my computer screen. He told me it would be a task that would take longer than a day and unfortunately, I was leaving town the following day. He gave me advice on how I should go about finding the right price and gave me a ballparked estimate to ensure I wasn't getting screwed over. He even gave me a free HDMI cord to help me out (Even though I have plenty of them, it's the gesture that counts) Recommend 10/10! I went in to get my phone fixed because my camera was messed up. I talked to David about the issue and the certain requirements I needed for this phone fix and he explained what would happen well easing my fears and he ordered the camera piece needed same day no down payment. This off principle alone is an A+ in my book as I'm not financially well off but this leads me into me next point the man told me and did everything to save me money which meant possibly losing a sale. Overall the main man David is a man of integrity. He fixed my camera, I'm happy. Took my HP Probook to this company two weeks ago. Spoke with David on three separate occassions and was told the computer parts would be ordered or they would search the parts "graveyard" to see if they might have it in stock on the first call. I expressed whatever it needed to go ahead and do it to get my pc up and running. Upon returning a call to the store I received from the store today, I was told my computer had just been sitting for two weeks and they were just getting to thinking about ordering the part which was more than quoted initially because it was a newer computer. I was fine with that but did express that I thought it would be repaired by this week. So for my own clarification I questioned how much longer it would be after the parts came in, so I could have a possible timeline it might be ready so that I can make other arrangements for my work needs. Out of the blue David pulled this, "I don't deal with abusive customers and tend to avoid situations that are complicated to keep my own keel to stay even." Confused as to what just happened and what I just heard, I tried approaching the conversation in a more sensitive directive, which only proved to be as equally ineffective. This individual I was dealing with was clearly not a professional or a business man that I felt was competent to service my computer needs or just simply did not want to fix my pc. At that point to avoid any further interaction with this person, asked for the owner and he then stated "he was the owner and was not giving me any other information." I then told him that I would come by and pick up my computer and have someone else fix it. Complete lack of focus for the needs of the customer, poor communication, takes no responsibility for ineffective business practices, and very argumentative. Worst experience with a company I've ever encountered. I would never recommend this company to anyone. read more

Had them build me a pc last year and the entire process was incredible. They over delivered on all of the expectations I had, and I couldn't beat the price if I ordered all of the components and built the computer myself. Didn't feel rushed to make decisions and the owner went into great detail to answer all of my questions. I wish every business operated like this read more

I have used Thunder Road Computers several times of late. They are helpful, willing to answer all my questions and offer solutions that I might do for myself and save a few bucks. The various posters and literature do not bother me in the least. No one tried to discuss their opinions with me and when I brought up a couple of related topics they responded in a few words and dropped it. This is, as far as I can discern, a free country and they are a privately owned business. With the exception of very few issues, I would not rob myself of taking my business to a reliable, trustworthy, local and friendly business. Matter of fact, I am so sick to death of political correctness being shoved down our throats that I find their open display of their beliefs refreshing. But, the most important reason, for me, is that they do good work and that is, after all, the point. read more

I went to Thunderroad this week by recommendation. I had shattered my phone screen. I was in a panic because it is my business phone and I can't be without it for an extended period of time. I had planned to come back on Friday as I had to travel planning to with my shattered screen because I thought I would have to leave it over night. They offered to repair while I waited. I was in and out of there within 35 minutes and it was late in the day. Wow! I can't praise them enough! They were very speedy and responsive to my issue.
