We should have recorded it. Other patrons were laughing so hard and amazed by our improvisation. I really appreciate the care and diligence the staff put into making sure I was safe in Montreal especially since I was a solo female traveler. Parking was easier than other Montreal areas. I was able to dine at a restaurant prior to the show. The bar didn't have food service. I will definitely go back when I revisit Montreal. I felt safe.

If you wave your hand around there's a chance that the artist might catch that and wave back at you with a smile. Beer and other beverages are sold inside but if you have some time before the show then Burgundy Lion, a pub next beside the theater, can offer you more choices. Don't drink too much though! If your blood alcohol level is too high and you start making a ruckus then the bouncer will surely spot you.

I came in two months ago to watch another documentary on EBM music with old-timers like Nitzer Ebb and Kraftwerk. Had a fantastic time on both occasions. BBAM! Gallery is turning out to be a great little creative space that is part record/vinyl store, art gallery and sometime art-house cinema showing Montreal-premieres of music oriented documentaries. I think the next one that's coming up that I'll probably attend is one on Paul Weller's bands, The Jam and The Style Council. Montreal used to have so many of these kinds of creative spaces but with skyrocketing rents and gentrification in almost all neighbourhoods, many of those spaces are disappearing all too quickly and there's only a handful left now and I think it's vital for the city to encourage keeping these kinds of independent spaces alive, where you can watch these great movies and get a glass of wine for $5, instead of another generic, sterile corporate space that charges you $20 per glass.

Our nightlife is what makes our city and I really hope the provincial and federal government get together behind some actual coordinated support for these crucial local businesses. I used to live near Hemisphere gauche and have walked by all kinds of different crowds gathered outside, it's so awesome to see how different kinds of communities can feel welcomed in live music venues and bars and I love walking by and feeling, not just unthreatened, but somehow welcomed in their midst. I've sat on the window ledge here and enjoyed a cheep beer and the people watching, and I've rolled in here with a crew of badass lady friends after another bar closed and the staff let us take over their karaoke set up and drink whiskey and sing all our frustrations out till closing time, no fuss.

Actually, I was shorter than the people seating in front of me, so I compensated by seating on the armrest of my seat ... Thanksfully nobody was behind me! There's a bar in the lobby of the building, where two tall, burly man served as bouncers. I didn't get anything to drink, but prices weren't cheap. It was 3.50$ of bottled water after all. To rich out any Emergency exits it was kinda imposible in case of an emergency, all pathways from our tables were effectively blocked. Especially dangerous with a 6 year old child and 74 year old person (my mother) with limited mobility. Nowhere on Ticketmaster or the venue description was it mentioned that the seats would be high stools/tables unsuitable for kids or elderly, this feels like misleading advertising. The venue was extremely hot and not to much ventilation; my mother nearly fainted during the 3.5 hour show. Security was rude and dismissive ('What do you want me to do?'), while the box office tried but couldn't help. Paid $250 for 5 tickets and barely saw the performance. Demanding a full refund plus compensation for the inconvenience and potential harm. Avoid this venue if you have families, children, or elderly in your group serious accessibility and safety issues!

There's no such thing as a bad seat here, no matter where you find yourself, you'll get a good view of the stage and the acoustics here are OK. They don't have a full bar but the drinks aren't over-priced (unlike at other places) and the staff and bouncers were pretty chill.
