I would like to give 10 stars if I could. I took our 100 plus year old cuckoo clock that hadn't worked for decades in to be repaired. I didn't have any expectations that they could repair it but they did. It has been a couple months since we got it back and it's working perfectly!! Then today I brought a much newer cuckoo in that had a part come off inside. I couldn't figure out how to put it back together so I took it in just for advice on how to put back together. To my amazement they took it behind the counter and in 15 minutes it was fixed. The crazy part is that they charged me $5.00. That's right FIVE DOLLARS. You can barely get a cup of coffee for five dollars. I can't tell you how happy that made me. However I felt bad because they should have charged $30 and I would have happily paid that. Very expensive! They charged me $60 just to change the batteries and adjust the size for two watches, $30 for the size adjustment ( He literally took one piece from one of the watches) and $30 for batteries. I suggest to check the prices with them first before they do anything! read more

My family has gone to the Tick Tock Shop for years. I truly appreciate that no repair is too small. Last year, I bought a cheap knock off exercise watch whose plastic wrist band made my skin break out. I took the watch there and they showed me a few other types of watch bands along with recommendations. I selected a beautiful blue leather watch band. Thank you for swapping out the watch bands! THEY HAVE SO MANY WATCHES. And clocks and everything else used to tell time. Lol I brought in 2 watches to get the faces repaired from several scratches. Minus one star because it took almost 2 weeks for them to repair the watches. They had to wait on the faces to come in, then repair them. I ended up buying another watch while I was there. And it's by far my go to watch to wear now. I love citizen watches and always keep an eye out for a new one. They had a massive selection of citizen watches to choose from. Several that I had never seen before. I feel like I got a one-of-a-kind watch because I haven't seen it anywhere else. And when I went back to pick up my other watches from repair, they still have the one I bought in stock anymore. I recently bought a clock at this establishment. It had some problems that I noticed after I brought it home. Barometer is stuck, hour hand is loose and kept hitting the chime on/off switch effectively stopped keeping time. I took the clock back to have the problems worked on and after 2 weeks I called and they said it was ready. In reality they had not even been looked at it. Had my clocks for over 3 months and when I finally got them home, they weren't even working correctly. On clock had the same problem of the chime not going off at correct time. That's why I brought it to you! They claimed they replaced the whole inside, but that seems impossible if I still have the exact same problem. Second clock I brought in because the chime was sluggish and would pause mid chime. Now the chime works however it's not chiming at correct time. Won't refund me but I can leave clocks for them to look at AGAIN! Hard pass on that you morons. 13 weeks, $200, and still broken clocks. I recommend you avoid these idiots. read more

I brought a Tag Huer Aquaracer in for a new battery. The "technician" was either careless or didn't know what he was doing. He put a series of scratches on the back. I've had this watch for over ten years and it didn't have a scratch on it until the "tech" at Tick Tock got hold of it. The scratches are so deep, they cannot be buffed out. Buffing them out will also buff out the serial number on the OUTSIDE of the case. Instant gray market watch. (look up what that means everyone) Thank you so much for knocking so much off the value of my watch. Don't bother replying. read more

I have an Omega seamaster watch that was to be passed down to my son. About 4 years ago I took it to this shop to have it repaired as the second hand came off. Upon receiving it back and trying to wind it the minute hand hit one of the dials and bent. I thought that was weird, but it's an old watch so things happen. Fast forward to 05/18/2022, I picked up the watch for the second time from the tick tick shop. The lady told me on the phone it had to be "rebuilt." As it belonged to my father we wanted to give it to my son as a graduation gift. The cost was $450.00. Upon giving it to my son, he attempted to set the time. Would you believe the minute hand bent again against the dial face. This is unacceptable. I know better than to ask them to fix it again, so I will leave this review. I will take my watches to some place other than a hack shop. If I need a dollar store watch fixed, I might consider them again. read more

We're so lucky here in Colorado Springs. I bought a watch online then had to go online, once I got the watch, to retrieve an owners' manual. They charged me $.95 to get the Manuel downloaded and was never sucessful. I took the watch to the,"been around forever" Tick Tock shop and they showed me how to adjust the bans and explain the watch. So adorable was the young woman who help me and when I asked 'how much do I owe you', she said 'no charge'. Great doing business with people who care about the customer! read more

This is such a charming family owned clock and watch shop. I felt hopeful when I dropped off my beautiful Bulova watch I had previously received as a gift needing a replacement crown and stem. I was quoted $35 for the parts and labor and one week turn around time - much to my relief. Well, a month later I received the watch back, working but not for the long haul. My husband and I found this shop on the internet and went there at 8:55 am even though they did not open until 9:00 am. A nice young man asked me if he could help me and I gave him three of my watches that needed the batteries replaced. I also told him I needed a new watch band for the watch I was wearing. While he replaced the three batteries on the watches I brought in another gentleman asked me what kind of band I wanted and I said a stretch band so he proceeded to look for a stretch band that would fit my watch. I picked one and the young man by then had finished replacing three batteries on my watch so he changed my band also. The service at this watch shop was unbelievable and I will continue to go there when I need a battery replaced. In fact I have another watch that needs a new glass so I will be back to get that watch fixed. read more

All I can say about this place is "WOW"! Fantastic service at a fair price. I've had John work on two of my time pieces previously. Came in today to get the bezel changed on my Seiko dive watch. While they had numerous people in the store, John took my watch in the back, came back five minutes later with the bezel swapped out and it was perfect. They have a decent selection of watches - specifically Bulova and Hamilton. I will DEFINITELY be giving them my business in the future. read more

They are pretty much incompetent if you need a watch repaired. They don't admit when they make a mistake, which is terrible customer service. If you have a watch that costs over $1,500 do not take it to them for repair. You are better off going online to your particular brand and sending it to the brands repair facility in the USA. There selection of wall clocks and Grandfather clocks is good but their selection of watches is only fair as they carry only mass market brands. read more

My Husband and I purchased a Howard Miller mantel clock from TTS about 3 years ago. Right out of the box the clock would not keep correct time. We brought the clock back to have it checked and were told that we had to make an appointment and they would call us when they were ready for the clock. They said at that time they were out 6-8 months for repairs, so we asked to be put on the list and gave them our information. It has now been 3 years and we have not received a phone call from them. As usual life happens and we did not follow up with calling them and bugging them about the repair and now we have moved to the Grand Junction area. We just unpacked the clock and I called a local clock repair who is a certified Howard Miller repair shop and the owner of that shop just told me that we had a 2 year warranty with Howard Miller which we did not know we had. So unfortunately we could have called Howard Miller and turned the clock in for warranty repairs and had a functioning $800.00 clock but now we are looking at spending a minimum $200.00 to have another shop fix the clock. It would be nice if TTS would honor the warranty and fix the clock for free since we were not informed about the manufacturer warranty, did not get paperwork showing we had a warranty, and waited for them to call us to do the repair. Both my Husband and I make frequent trips to the Colorado Springs area and would be happy to bring the clock with us if TTS will fix the clock under warranty. I will frequently look at this review I am posting to see if TTS will respond with an offer to make this bad situation right. read more

I was on a strict timeline to get the repair cuz we are gifting the clock to my aunt (in Texas) for her 80th birthday. The clock used to belong to her mom. Came in to get a battery replaced and while I was there decided to buy a watch. Staff is knowledge and was open to any questions I had.

Set up an appointment to have someone give me an estimate on a clock repair. They said $1k. I said no thanks. They said "sorry to tell you but we have a $250 charge for coming to your house". No one told us this I said. I was so surprised and yes, I was mad because as he said " sorry to tell you but we have $250 charge". If they told us prior to the appointment we would have declined. Gave him $50. I really should have paid nothing. Avoid at all costs. read more

I had a problem with UPS on a shipment to them, and they went above and beyond to try to sort it out, even traveling to the local UPS logistics facility and spending a huge amount of time to try to find the shipment and solve the problem. Anyone who has spent time with UPS trying to solve issues knows what a nightmare it can be, and I was so impressed that they did that for a problem that was my issue, not theirs. We took our watch in to get another link ordered due to loosing one. They put it back together without an extra link and charged $20 because they still did the service. I think if I were there to purchase a $3000 grandfather clock, then I may have been treated like I mattered. Maybe. Instead I just needed a quick watch battery and a link added to a second watch. When I got to the counter I was ignored by three employees who milled about around me as I stood waiting at the counter. One person finally muttered "Hello" without looking up from his table. Not once did anyone in the business actually make eye contact with me. The employees acted like they didn't even like each other. I was the only customer in the building. And it wasn't near closing time. There was no reason for such a lack of customer service. I felt like I was bothering them by walking in to the establishment and that my business wasn't sufficient for them. This will certainly keep me from ever coming back, which is a bummer because normally I like to support little local businesses, especially ones that have been around for decades. I was charged $19 for two tiny tasks and while I don't know if this is an excessive amount, I can say that I didn't leave feeling good about doing business with the Tick Tock Shop. I called my dad to tell him about the poor experience and he said, "I stopped going there a couple of years ago because as soon as I walked in the older lady who worked there sarcastically mumbled 'Oh great, here comes another watch battery.'" His description matched what I encountered. What a massive disappointment. In an economy where small businesses are struggling in dying markets (I doubt many people are rushing out to buy clocks), a friendly attitude and some basic manners can go a long way toward winning over repeat business. read more
