Called the shop to see about changing the battery out on two different watches and what the turn around time would be. He said come on over and I can do them while you wait. Arrived and he did the first one no issue. The second one the back was on extremely tight and said he needed a different tool to get it off and if I could leave and he would call the next day if he could change out or if any issues. As expected, received a call next day with watch being ready! Great, friendly, expedient service and follows through on promises!!! Highly recommend and great value. read more

Cliff's Watch Repair is a first rate organization. Kip, Cliff's son, runs it now after his father passed away, and I don't know when I've had the pleasure of doing business with such a fine gentlemen. He is patience with me and my recalcitrant Omega Seamaster, which is more trouble than a Hollywood diva. He is extremely fair on his prices and very capable at whatever he undertakes. An accomplished photographer, as well and shares his beautiful pictures with his customers on a large screen in the waiting room. Kip is a prince of a man and I am proud to know him. Cliff is a really good guy and definitely a specialist in watches. I needed a band replaced and battery changed, I initially bought it to chapel hill malls but they told me that my watches were specialized and they can't do it. Cliff was able to tune up and change the band/ battery on all my watches. When you walk in you'll for sure know that he's an expert at watches. I highly recommend!! read more

If you have a watch that needs repair, Cliff is your man. My in-laws had 60s Rolexes that had long since stopped operating. We sent them to Rolex who said they no longer had the parts to make the necessary repairs. We thought we were out of luck but gave Cliff a shot at the repairs. Amazingly, he had parts that Rolex didn't and fixed them both, for less than Rolex charged to simply tell us they couldn't make the repair. Cliff is also a very nice guy. 100% recommended. read more

Okay my brother had a Marathon TSAR dive watch that had a broken crown and it let water into the movement. Well after the parts were sourced for the crown assembly Cliff installed a new movement, gaskets and pressure tested it for me all for under $100. I couldn't ask for more. Got to the watch shop 5 min before close. Got watch band fixed, battery replaced, and adjusted before closing time! Didn't take cards and had no cash but he just said mail it or drop off payment some other day and handed me my watch. Awesome service and I got my watch working perfect again. read more

Im not sure why my experience with Cliff's wasn't as excellent as the other reviewers, but unfortunately it was not. Cliff made a special crystal for a very old watch I had, and after wearing it one time, it fell off. So obviously it was not a perfect fit. I took it back, and Cliff accused me of dropping it, which I did not, and then when I expected a replacement for the crystal that fell off by itself because it did not fit right, he became irritated with me. He did replace it but I felt so uncomfortable I will never go back. read more
