My dear friend's daughter is in her senior year. It's going to be hard to say goodbye to our campus visits. It is a beautiful campus to visit and fun activities nearby like the Teddy Bear Factory and Maple Syrup Factory. If you stay near campus at a AirB&B it may be a home with historic charm. Plan your visits because graduation comes around quickly and you want to document your fond memories! The downside is the placement office. Don't expect much assistance finding employment in your chosen field when you graduate! Start planning in advance!

Just the trip TO the school was a beautiful drive, but arriving in Burlington and walking around town was really great. We did do an official tour and the campus itself is beautiful. Our tour guide did an excellent job with our fairly large group and was able to answer all our questions. Dorms were...well they were dorm rooms, but some of the residence halls are actually quite nice. Unfortunately, I don't think this was the right 'fit' for my son so it's unlikely that he will end up here as a student, but it had more to do with the makeup of the academic program he was interested in rather than him not liking the campus. Seriously, this is really a beautiful campus with access to great outdoor activities in all seasons. Reduced price ski trips for students, great activities ON campus, and so much to do in town. Burlington is a great town with LOTS of great places to eat and drink...lots of local brews to enjoy if you are into craft beers as well.

Administration was worthless (Vaccaro the inept president). After I decided to stop returning there, Their inflated tuition costs really reinforced what a joke it was to attend the school. In undergrad, I was an honor student in a Harvard-based society (Delta MU Delta). When I challenged certain professors, I was black-listed. When that happens, all of the professors stick up for each other and the student is deemed "insignificant". I worked very hard while in graduate courses, yet the whacked , eccentric professors made it even more difficult for me. So much for their supposed mission. Now- they are defunct for different reasons, but my experience with those 'inept" professors contributed to their downfall. And re: doctorate designations? Sometimes those designations are ill-awarded. One goes through the academic hoops, but that does not necessarily make you worthy of that designation. That was obvious with certain professors at Goddard. Anyway, those who are sad at Goddard's eventual downfall, there are others who saw it a different way.

When I was looking at options to pursue aviation I looked at various programs around New England and I couldn't be happier that I chose VFA. It is the oldest private and senior military college in the United States and offers bachelor's and master's degrees on-campus and online. I decided to walk the campus for my daily exercise, while I was visiting family in Central Vermont. The school is role play army unless you are the 20% who will commission or have aspirations to join the military. It was created by a West Point reject and is full of West Point rejects who all hate on the real cadets who are doing things they could never do. As a civilian, the school is miserable. In a nothing to do town and area filled with rude self centered people (that is all of the northeast). All the students either go home during the weekends (which I don't blame) or just sit in their rooms. If you like doing nothing all day you will enjoy this university. Counting down the days to my graduation so I can leave this dump of a school and never return to the state of Vermont. The disrespect from some people within the school is disheartening. #BringBackAnarumo
