Very unprofessional experience. Home was flooded and called servepro westchase for mitigation…read moreservices. Team came out on the weekend the next day with equipment that didn't work and a sump pump they didn't know how to use. They left without any work being done but ended up charging me for it. They sent another team out a week later and the water under the home already seeped into the subfloors at that point. They cut a whole inside my home in the floor to pump water out only to let me know that water is already gone. They charge thousands of dollars per fan they leave behind per day, mind you everything was already dry at that point. Was told they would get directly paid from insurance company. Insurance company ended up cutting me a check to pay servpro. They literally called almost everyday to see if the check came in yet and after 5 days of not speaking with them they sent a guy out to my house to collect only for me to emphasize again that FEMA has not sent out the check yet and they would get paid their 12,000+ dollars when i got it. For a few fans and rug dryers. Once the insurance estimate came it did not include overhead and profit which is a eligible payment for contractors who hire a company to do service and have to be there to supervise, but servpro included that onto their bill which was several thousands of dollars. They have threatened to put a lean on my house and have done nothing short but harass me for this additional payment they are not entitled too from FEMA. I've sent them responses from my FEMA adjuster stating such but they don't care. Will never use these guys again they are leaches and legal crooks who don't give a hoot about the hardships you are experiencing during a severe disaster. They charge the max amount for everything, this comes out of your policy and deductible something servpro doesn't tell you and your insurance won't typically say anything until the estimate is done, and with FEMA for flood this takes months. There are much more cost effective mitigation teams available and companies who understand the insurance system and how to navigate and are supportive to you and your family vs further deteriorating an already horrific experience such as a catastrophic disaster. Excel Exteriors Inc. installed a roof on my house in July 2024 and failed to meet the city code,…read morewhich required them to install plywood. Excel would have been paid even more money to install plywood, so it's a mystery why they didn't install plywood. The city inspector told Excel to remove the roof and reinstall it with plywood at their expense, but Excel is ignoring the inspector and the Department of Labor inspector and me the homeowner. Excel's poor workmanship caused water damage to the interior of my home too and they only offered $4000 for the interior damages that are estimated to cost me more than $100k. Dealing with Excel Exteriors has been a disaster. They're still saying, they didn't do anything wrong(!) What a bunch of con artists, they took the money and ran. It's been a year, the house is still a wreck and Excel's owner, Alex Shikhlinski has gone into hiding in Florida, refusing to redo the roof and close out the open permit which will never go away and cost me more than $20k to redo out of pocket.
