When a Doctor is out of the office, vacation... etc. Please assign a Doctor to cover. Patients may need to refill a prescription and if no one is covering then the prescription doesn't get refilled in a timely manner. Super frustrating! When you actually visit the office , the front desk staff is pretty lackluster.... they don't seem to be happy with their jobs. read more

Kristyn Gerrol is an Outstanding Nurse Practitioner for Tidelands Breast Center !!! She is Caring person who listens and is very thorough! She read through the history, set up testing and followed up that day (unheard of service) with everything. She really cares and just listens well, and I am so excited to find a provider like her. My general doctor made a referral for me to see an Endocrinologist and faxed the referral over 2 separate times. I verified the fax number and it was correct. Problem is that Endocronology never seems to receive it. Then when I call it seems like the people there just don't like their jobs and are very unfriendly and not helpful. The thing is, if you ever need ANYTHING outside of an actual face-to-face visit with your doctor, then steer clear of Tidelands. Messages are rarely returned, and the phone is very rarely answered. I've been living here in horry/Georgetown area for 35 years. I have used tidelands for my medical needs and am Very upset that I was just on hold for 30 minutes just to schedule a mammogram. Ridiculous , absolutely Ridiculous. Hire more people!!!!! As patients our time is important too. This area is experiencing some Horrible "Growing pains" and your patients are suffering because of it. No one should have to sit on hold , with their calendar in one hand and their Insurance cards in the other waiting to schedule an appointment!!! And then be given an appointment 2 months later!! After scheduling an appointment months ago for a mammogram at Tideland's Women's Imaging in Murrells Inlet. I just received a call 2 days before my appointment to reschedule. They said that my appointment was not quite a year after my last mammogram. The problem is the next available appointment isn't until the end of October. Tidelands should have noticed their error when I scheduled and not 2 days before my appointment. read more

Tidelands Health Care is the worst health care system that I've dealt with in in 50 years. The management company is more concerned in making and collecting money than they are about their patients health and well being. A patient can call and call to get an appointment with one of their doctors but to no avail. With a referral from my GP, it took 2 months for the Tidelands doctor to get in touch with me to set an appointment. I saw the doctor for maybe 10 minutes and was sent on my way with a mix diagnosis. No follow up by the doctor established. I've had doctors prescribe medications that could have caused major damage if not death because the Tidelands doctors are so concerned about pushing the patient out the door. When it comes to collecting the bill, they are in constant contact before you even get an EOB from insurance. Run away very fast. read more

I've been a patient at Tidelands in Socastee (Dick Pond Road) for several years and absolutely loved Neil Lilly & the courteous staff until my recent visit on 7/19/23. I have been trying to get clarification on one of my prescriptions for over a week and have received different answers and no follow through from the office staff. The office staff was the RUDEST, ANTAGONISTIC and UNPROFESSIONAL people I have ever encountered in any doctors office EVER. I was cut off several times trying to explain things that were not in their "notes" but they were not interested in hearing it. I was accused of NOT SHOWING UP for a physical and lab appointment when I HAD CANCELLED my appointments 2 weeks ahead of time. The inference was that I was irresponsible and created this issue, not them. They also ganged up on me with one office worker glaring at me, making faces and trying to provoke me into a fight. My guess is she had nothing better to do with her time. I"m switching offices immediately. I have more respect for myself thant to deal with such ignorance and nastiness. ALL 3 of the women working there were rude and confrontational. I will miss Mr. Lilly. He's been wonderful. However, I refuse to put myself in this position again. They SHOULD ALL BE FIRED. I can already forsee there will be plenty of future complaints about them. Sad that Dr. Offices must be so desparate for help that they would hire people like them. I had a 6 month follow up appointment with my PA on Monday. The appointment went well and we had a great conversation. This isn't a negative comment against the PA. She had me get an x-ray and informed me that I may need to see Pain Management. I had the x-ray done right after my appointment. I was informed that I would hear about the results that day. I heard nothing more on Monday. Tuesday came and went with nothing. I messaged the PA Tuesday night that I haven't heard anything. Wednesday morning I missed a call from them and the nurse left me a message to call them. I called in the morning and left a voice mail message. No call back. I called later in the afternoon and spoke to an individual who informed me that my message was giving to the nurse and she will be calling me regarding the x-ray results. I need to keep the pain management appointment. I told her I don't have a pain management appointment as it was going to based on the x-ray. Thursday morning I left another voicemail message as I still hadn't hear from the nurse on the status of my x-ray. Thursday later afternoon she called to tell me that I have mild arthritis and I need to keep my pain management appointment. I informed her that I don't have a pain management appointment as I was waiting the results of the x-ray. She told me that they will call and schedule a time. By now I'm frustrated with Tidelands. It is Friday and I will have not heard from them regarding scheduling an appointment. I know my situation is not critical and I continue to deal with the pain. Waiting 4 days to find out the results of an x-ray only to find out it is arthritis...seriously!! Now I have to wait for an appointment with pain management. I will get this solved and then I'm moving on. read more

Worst hospital ever for the care I received! Please if you are from out of town or a transient please go a little further to Grand Strand Hospital or MUSC where you can get quality care. Doctors and staff are very rude. Seem to be more concerned about Medicare and Medicaid coverage and how many exams they can order. Worst bedside manner I have ever received. Please fill out your Press Ganey survey and Patient Satisfaction surveys accordingly as this hospital is simply a glorified outpatient center. Any type of critical exams that you may need or surgeries they will have to refer you elsewhere anyhow. read more

Dr. Springs is WONDERFUL. My mother has been seeing him since 2017 after her primary care doctor that she had been seeing for nearly 20 years closed his practice. Dr. Springs is very empathetic and understand and he really listens to my mother's concerns and answers her questions thoroughly, it feels like he really wants to see her succeed and see her health turn around and after having several strokes and not being able to properly manage her diabetes and medical issues in the past it seems like she really trusts Dr. Springs and what he has to say about helping her improve her health. He has been great at working with us to get us things we need and write letters of recommendation for things and he's always been very kind to my mother. The nurses are sometimes a hit or a miss, sometimes they're very sweet, and sometimes they're a little grumpy, but Dr. Springs is an excellent doctor that I would 100% recommend for anyone who needs a new primary care doctor. read more

My 85 year old mother fell today and ended up with a huge knot on her head and a very bruised eye area. We took her to Tidelands Health Emergency. Went to see a doctor brown as a new patient. On my first visit with the doctor she asked what I wanted from tidelands health. I told her i would need to continue and adjust medications i was on. Most important medication being depo -Provera (BC that is injected every 3 months) well now that it's time for my Rx for this to be filled, the doctor is pressuring me to find a new option for BC regardless to my protest. (I have been on depo for over a yr and do not wish to change for many reasons) and wont prescribe my birth control, after saying they would before I switched and made them my primary care doctor. Now I have to go months without my BC until I can switch primary care doctors again. Would NOT recommend for any young female or any female who knows what kind of BC she likes. read more
