I would not recommend Carpenter REALTORS® based on my experience selling an estate property in…read moreprobate. The home was listed for approximately nine months with very little to show for it. Throughout the listing period, I repeatedly requested corrections to errors in the listing, including misspelled words, inaccurate property information, and outdated photos. Despite multiple requests, many of these issues were never corrected. Communication was also a major problem. I was not consistently informed about showings, phone calls were often not returned, and getting answers to basic questions became frustrating and time-consuming. When a buyer backed out of a signed contract, I was told the buyer had no legal reason to do so. However, when it came to pursuing the $2,800 earnest money deposit, Carpenter REALTORS® would not assist and told me I would need to hire my own attorney and pursue the matter myself. I spent approximately $2,200 making repairs and improvements based on recommendations, yet the property remained on the market for over 250 days. The final straw was requesting a Mutual Release of Listing Agreement so I could move on. My agent signed the release, but the managing broker's signature was still missing. I left multiple messages for the broker asking why the release had not been completed and received no return calls. Professionalism, communication, attention to detail, and customer service were all lacking. Selling a home during probate is already stressful enough. Instead of receiving guidance and support, I felt ignored and left to handle problems on my own. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Carpenter REALTORS®.
