My wife and I celebrated our anniversary by taking the "date night" pottery class with Tiffany. I can't say enough how great this experience was. We got a full crash course and then immediately got to crafting bowls. It's harder than it looks, but Tiffany was always there to help us when we needed it, with a perfect balance of being helpful and letting us be independent. She was patient, incredibly friendly, and an absolute pro. Also, this is a great deal! On top of the class which was super fun, we're getting 6 fired and glazed bowls. We did a 2 hour "girl's night" at Tiffany's and it was wonderful! She is an amazing teacher and walked us through basic steps and was patient and helped out when we needed it. We discovered Tiffany Hilton Pottery during the 2014 Asparagus Valley Pottery Tour. Tiffany's style of pottery is fantastic! Her designs, colors and glazes are wonderful. We noticed Tiffany had several pottery wheels in her studio and she explained she offers classes ranging from a one night "date night" to 8-week classes. We signed up for the date night and had a great time. We made several pieces and were each able to select 2 of our favorites. Tiffany then takes those pieces and does the final touches so you can return at a later date to pick up your creations! The class was lots of fun and Tiffany is a great teacher. We went to visit Tiffany for my boyfriend and I's anniversary, and we had the most fun time! She was patient (we had no idea what we were doing when we started), fun and most importantly, you could tell she was truly passionate about what she does. Her love for her craft shows in how she teaches. She made us feel like pottery experts by the end. One of the unique and best parts of this date is that we were able to take home a tangible memory from her: our own set of bowls that we made together. My mom and I attended Tiffany's 'Date Night' class to make bowls! It was both of ours first time with the wheel and Tiffany was so helpful and kind in teaching us. My wife and had I always wanted to try wheel-throwing pottery classes. Our lesson with Tiffany was incredible and better than we both imagined! Tiffany is an amazing teacher, she knows exactly when to help out and when to let you figure things out on your own. By the end of our 2-hour session we had completed several pieces of pottery. My daughter and I were traveling though the area and thought it would be nice to meet a local artist. I found Tiffany on yelp and called her. She invited us to stop by her studio which is located in a very cool old converted toothbrush factory (many other artists have studios there, too.) Tiffany is warm and gracious, and an amazing potter. She spent time discussing her craft and creative process. Her work is absolutely beautiful. She has a selection of items for sale in the studio, but will also make by special order. She also teaches classes in her studio. It was a great stop and really gave us a feel for the Northampton artist Community. I would highly recommend visiting Tiffany Hilton's Studio. read more
