In response, he attempted to cool the wax using his hand, and when he applied the waxing strip, he pressed the strip down with force. I told him it hurt and asked him not to press so hard. When he began work on my other eye, I again asked him to cool the wax and to avoid pressing too hard, but he did acted as if he didn't understand what I asked. After he finished the waxing, my skin was burning burn, and I asked him to apply something to soothe the area. Instead, he used a dry tissue to wipe the area and handed me a mirror to show me the result. I told him the eyebrows looked fine and asked for some Aloe Vera for the burning The next morning I had scabbing underneath both eyebrows and still felt the burning I went to Urgent Care to check for chemical burns the doctor told me the top layer of skin was removed. This is beyond crappy customer service!

This is the saddest nail salon that I have visited in my whole entire life…read more I didn't know the area so I Yelped the closest nail salons. Exotic Nails was the second nail salon that I visited. The first one was busy. I walk in and ask for a gel fill after standing for a minute workout a greeting. The technician sat me immediately. I was like wow, ok. :-D I'm liking this! I sat. The technician began to wipe my nail with acetone. "No sir", I stated. "These are gel nails and have to be drilled off." The technician stated something in his native tongue and left the station to attend to two other ladies that were in the salon when I arrived. If he was already working on two separate ladies, why tell me he could take me immediately??? I sat....and I waited...and waited. There were three other technicians in the salon, but they were doing pedicures in the back. How long is too long to wait, I'm thinking to myself. While I was waiting six other women trickled in. No one addressed or acknowledged them. Hmmm. Apparently they knew the drill because they too sat, chatted, and waited. I was directed to one of the female nail technicians who had just completed a pedicure. This lady was angry for no reason. She could not understand that I wanted an acrylic fill work gel overlay. She could not speak much English. I asked for someone who could speak English and share with her what I wanted. The original nail technician had complete the work on the two ladies and stated that he would do my nails. After the long wait, getting ping-ponged back and forth, and waiting again; work commenced on my nails. I chatted with the technician. He stated that his wife and daughter was at the doctor and their absence caused the delay in service. (Who makes doctor appointments on one of their busiest work days??? (smh)) That statement got this establishment two stars, otherwise they would have gotten a half of one. It dawned on me that this man was apparently doing the best he had with what he had.
