I just spent $57 for the piercing and you're telling me that I have to spend $5 more cause you put in a bar that could have went smaller? The apprentice was nice but couldn't answer a lot of my questions and after piercing -- not much was address. I came here to get my belly button pierced, a little over 5 months ago for my 16th birthday. i was…read morenot sure if my belly button was the right anatomy for this piercing because, when i sit my belly button collapses and that will cause your piercing to reject and be very irritated. A solution to this if you don't have the anatomy for a regular belly ring, it's called a floating navel, it still has a a cute little diamond at the top but the bottom part where the ball would go it's a flat back and it keeps your piercing from moving and collapsing onto itself like what would happen if a person with this anatomy would get the traditional piercing. but when i went into the shop i asked them before we even went back or picked the jewelry if my anatomy was correct because i wasn't sure, he looked at it said it was fine so i was excited. first off yes the regular jewelry is 60 plus the piercing charge which is a little expensive but understandable. when we went back into the piercing area he marked it when i was standing, he didn't make me sit to make sure my belly bottom didn't collapse like a piercer is supposed to do, but i didn't think anything of it until now. my piercing isn't even in my belly button like it's supposed to be, it's a surface piercing basically because i don't have the anatomy for a regular ring. Even though i asked to make sure i did and they said i did but obviously they were wrong and couldn't make the professional observation. fast forward 5 1/2 months the piercing is extremely irritated all of the time, i don't touch it ever, i clean once a day or when there are crusties, not over cleaning it, i don't sleep on it, i use saline i don't use rubbing alcohol or peroxide or ointments. so im just genuinely so pissed because that's the only thing i got for my 16th birthday and now i can't even keep it because these piercers are so uneducated.

The problem arose after we left - I was driving through Charlotte, trying to get to the airport. Someone from the studio called my cell phone saying that the tattoo artist who checked us out had made a mistake and had charged us for the tattoos but had not added the tip as I requested. I explained that I was driving in heavy traffic in an area I was unfamiliar with and I would call them back. Multiple phone calls/voicemails/emails and a letter (!!!!) later, they're threatening to take me to court .... for the TIP - that they made the mistake in not charging to my Visa card. I had every intention of calling them back to authorize an additional transaction to cover a tip but their uber-aggressive approach to the problem (which they totally created) has me in the "fine - you want to go to court? File in Minnesota where I live and let's talk to a judge about you adding interest onto a TIP -- and demanding that I pay you a tip at all. (Never threaten an attorney with legal action because you screwed up a transaction and didn't get your tip.)

I have two tattoos; one done at Caspian's and one done at Kiss of Ink. A friend of mine told me…read morethat Kiss of Ink had better pricing and that the artists did good work. My first tattoo is small, about an inch or two in diameter, and it cost me $80 plus tip at Caspian's. The second tattoo is a tribal crossing my shoulders and extending just below the shoulder blades (about 18"x6"). It cost me $150 plus tip at Kiss of Ink. I'm sure you can see which one had better pricing. Pauline did my tribal. I brought in a custom design for her to use. It took about half an hour to prep and line up the stencil. I really appreciate her effort to line it up as perfectly as possible. The tattoo itself took a total of about two hours. It is clean and sharp and looks amazing. The inside of the shop isn't anything particularly special. It's pretty bare, but clean. They only so first come first serve walk-ins. It's a little inconvenient, but the price and high quality of work is definitely worth it. The only thing I wasn't a fan of is the fact that the workers vape in the shop. I just don't like the smell of vapes, but as far as negatives go, it's a pretty small one.
