So I sat back and made myself comfortable. Aesthetically the place is beautiful. There is a long shotgun bar, a huge seating/roaming area, and a decent cocktail menu to keep me interested. The decor is a mix of light wood and chrome, with the odd plasma screen showing football. The bartender and I got chatting as he made me a cocktail off the menu. It was a martini but he offered to make it long on the rocks for me to suit my manly appearance. Tee hee! I could see he wasn't happy with the balance, making the concoction several times. For keeping me waiting he refused payment. Nice touch! The cocktail was still good. I decided to ask to be shown around. There is a club and restaurant on site. The restaurant is very suave and endearing in a classic way. As you walk up to the club you can't help but notice the opulence of the artwork and interior design. The club itself is a simple hall with a VIP room off to the side and another bar. Taken as a whole The Gallery is an impressive building and this helps distract from its problem. Who goes partying in Hendon? There isn't much else in the area to draw in London's socialites and it is known that the locals aren't the most chic group in the city. To battle this, new staff and management have been brought in to give The Gallery the right vibe. I enjoyed my quiet cocktail, time will tell whether I enjoy the clientèle.

The Crab-on-Confit of Leek and Potato, followed by braised Cumbrian Lamb shoulder with a Champagne and Lamb sauce was just perfect.

Well I went to this bar called Whisperz just before Christmas. It's relatively local to me and am…read morealways eager to discover new places in surrounding areas. I feel like this area will be gentrified soon enough due to the new luxury apartments and a possible Supermarket which will probably open up nearby. The fact that Whisperz has a few local restaurants neighbouring it is nice, but I had popped in one evening on a Friday as I heard some music from within. It's not a wide bar but it is long and can hold a number of people. I think it's best for these type of nights out as it's good to stand, chat and drink here actually (which is what we did). We had a few cocktails seeing as we were in a mixed group and they had some deals on to save on the pennies which is good as Christmas was coming up. I'm not the biggest pop fan, but everyone was really into the music and you kind of got into it all as the night went on. The booze helped, but I suppose that's what bars like this are for. It was so good we ended up staying till near closing. From what I understand the site Whisperz (which I'm not sure what was behind that name) is changing it to something more specific (Bar Kitsch) as the owners loved the fun vibe of certain cheesy themed nights, so the music will be anything from 70's and 80's to the present. I'm totally down with that! I love that there will be an eclectic range of music throughout the years, even if there is a bit of cheesy retro songs. You never know I might even be tempted for a bit of karaoke if they play the Baywatch theme tune, haha. I welcome a fun new bar to the local area which is renowned for being quite sleepy, as it will improve the sense of the nightlife. Would be nice to have offering something different. Crouch End nearby already has some good little pubs and a few upmarket restaurants, so I love that finally there's a proper evening bar to let your hair down locally without having to venture far out of this area of North London and all with a late license! All good by me, especially if they keep the happy hour that everyone seemed to be taking advantage of previously. I look forward to the relaunch (apparantly it might be in March '16) and dancing to some funky tunes.

I'm not sure how close this bar is to Brazilian nightlife, but to me this bar feels typically Brazilian in cadence. I just love the atmosphere, the enthusiasm, the music, you feel transported to another place and I just don't understand how very few people, even those living in Camden, don't know about this bar! I was introduced by a lovely Yelp friend and try and get back whenever I'm in Camden as I really love this place. To me this is one of Camden's real hidden gems. So why do I love it? Let me count the ways: Live music: I'm not sure if there is someone on every night, but I'm always shocked by them hosting some fantastic, extremely talented musicians. Intimate setting: As a tiny little venue you huddle around small tables, it feels cozy, personable and warm. Art work: Walls, ceilings and tables are plastered with art, pictures, paintings collages drape all surfaces. It's like some hipster arty underground cavern... like so many bars in Shoreditch are trying to achieve, but this place isn't trying, it has charm and personality without having to try. Caipirinhas and mojitos: Using traditional Brazilian ingredients the cocktails here are just superb... and after a few you can't help but sink back into your seat and enjoy the ambiance. I'd also recommend the Cuba Libra, I'm usually not a fan, but would make an exception here. As a cocktail bar you need to expect to pay cocktail prices, but the live music, amazing atmosphere and art are free.

After being poorly for over 5 days, I had to skip the bottomless Sunday brunch which allows you to drink as much for just £18 (select drinks). The breakfast is supremely unhealthy, I mean I absolutely loved it but this will not be a regular place. I am more of a poached egg on granary roast sort of girl, which most of the times is a luxury. There options are plenty many however they do only waffles (both sweet and savoury) and no toast. I swapped the scrambled egg with poached egg and added an avocado as an extra. My breakfast was therefore, savoury waffles with smoked salmon, cream cheese, poached eggs and crispy capers with extra avocados. I complete devoured my brunch after being hungry for just over 3 hours. The food was great, something different from standard Sunday brunch. However, due to the healthiness quotient, I will not frequent this place and only treat myself maybe once in good few months. The staff were friendly and quick. The general vibe of the place was great. Would highly recommend for anyone to go at least once.

This place was super cute, spacious, and played some good music that paired well with the atmosphere and theme of the restaurant. The servers were very kind and knowledgeable of the menu as well. We started off with a meat platter, chargrilled bread with tomatoes along with two delicious cocktails. For our tapas we ordered the *Patatas Fritas *Crispy Pork Belly *Grilled Salmon Filet (the only dish I wasn't super crazy about) *Alitas De Pollo *Croquetas De Bacalao *Chuletas De Cordero Even after all this, there is always room for a little treat! There's no way we could leave here without ordering churros, and I'm so glad we did!! We also added a bonus sangria , because why not? On arrival, we were 'greeted' by this sour bunch of three ladies, one who confirmed our reservation, one who took our coats and one who showed us to the table. We were put off by this but we were looking forward to our meal so we simply ignored this. Once we saw the exorbitant menu prices (around £29 per dish), we decided to just order a main course only to be asked by the waitress, "is that it? That's all you are going to order?" What we decide to order is our choice and do not expect to be 'judged' by a waitress! Again, we decided to 'brush this off' and ordered our meal. To describe this as a 'meal' is an understatement! The chicken in black bean sauce had maybe 6 small pieces of chicken, perhaps 50g at most. This was spongy and with no texture at all. I can honestly say that if I ate it blindfolded I would never guess that it was chicken! The spare ribs came absolutely drowned in a thick gloopy sauce and the meat was like a rubber boot and again with not enough to feed a kitten and the fried rice was way undercooked and hard. At this point I had had enough and decided to ask for the owner/manager. Two or three servers came in turn before the actual owner decided to grace us with his presence. At no point did I raise my voice as I had no intention of disturbing other diners. The owner, Norman his name was berated us in a loud voice that he had over 40 years experience in the restaurant business and that no one had ever complained about his food and that he only served prime cuts. He also said that this was kosher food and that we had no idea what kosher food was all about!! We eat kosher at home and when we eat out and he had no right whatsoever to judge us like this! All the other customers were now staring at us making the situation highly embarrassing to say the least! HE then literally threw us out of the restaurant. Norman, if you ever read this (and I think you should) please take heed. I will post this review on Tripadvisor and on all Kosher restaurant review sites I can find!
