The pub has a great bar with lots of variety and as expected the drinks and the food are affordable. The pub retains the look of a industrial building but has been modernised to be comfortable. It is quite spacious and has lots of daylight streaming in from the large sky lights. Upstairs is more comfortable to eat with friends or family but generally they have tried to retain a Victorian feel to the place. There is also a beer garden that is bright and with many alcoves to hide and enjoy time with friends and family. Weatherspoons food is decent and standard throughout the chain with of standard pub food such as burgers and the standard English food. Service at the pub pub was excellent with the staff being attentive and our food arriving quite quickly. The price was exceptional for anywhere in London with drinks and a main for two for £12. If you are popping into Alexandra Park and need to get off at Muswell Hill Broadway you should start with a drink here.

This runs through to 16th November and offers a wide selection of ales all at very reduced prices. I chose an ale called Mumbo Jumbo (brewed in Manchester) which was one of six ales on tap. You will never guess the price ... only 85p for half pint! I took my seat and looked around. I could see 3 chairs carved into the shape of an elephant, lots of older men who all seemed to know each other. There was no music playing which gave a rather crap atmosphere. The pub also seemed a little run down. I glanced at the food menu which consisted of cheap typical pub food. There was however a small courtyard which would be nice if the weather was better. Although as it was also a smoking area I probably would not have used it. The ale was good - a bit like a beer version of guinness. As I was not too impressed by the decor and atmosphere, I drank up rather quickly and left to continue my shopping in the rain.

But who cares, there's an unwritten rule in this pub, the old folk sit by the bar on the left of the pub and the younger crowd sit by the big ass plasma screen outputting lots and lots of Sky Sports News. Then there's the courtyard area used by mostly the smokers or the MUCH younger adults who for some reason, "forgot their I.D. again" This is a popular starting point for a lot of people of Friday night, there's music nothing chart challenging or Brit award nominated but mostly good listenable music! Oh where was I running to with all this did I mention £2.50 a pint or £2 mixer, ale, cider, whatever its dirt cheap in here!! I'm not saying that you should sacrifice class for drink prices I'm just asking you to remember where you are Tally Ho corner, North Finchley mate, what was you expecting? Don't make this bulk of your night cause you will be considerably let down by what you were hoping to call the highlight of your night! If it's Friday/Saturday and your not already geared up to take the train west side or east, or a bus to Muswell Hill at the very least get drunk in here on cheap yeast!!

Well I went to this bar called Whisperz just before Christmas. It's relatively local to me and am…read morealways eager to discover new places in surrounding areas. I feel like this area will be gentrified soon enough due to the new luxury apartments and a possible Supermarket which will probably open up nearby. The fact that Whisperz has a few local restaurants neighbouring it is nice, but I had popped in one evening on a Friday as I heard some music from within. It's not a wide bar but it is long and can hold a number of people. I think it's best for these type of nights out as it's good to stand, chat and drink here actually (which is what we did). We had a few cocktails seeing as we were in a mixed group and they had some deals on to save on the pennies which is good as Christmas was coming up. I'm not the biggest pop fan, but everyone was really into the music and you kind of got into it all as the night went on. The booze helped, but I suppose that's what bars like this are for. It was so good we ended up staying till near closing. From what I understand the site Whisperz (which I'm not sure what was behind that name) is changing it to something more specific (Bar Kitsch) as the owners loved the fun vibe of certain cheesy themed nights, so the music will be anything from 70's and 80's to the present. I'm totally down with that! I love that there will be an eclectic range of music throughout the years, even if there is a bit of cheesy retro songs. You never know I might even be tempted for a bit of karaoke if they play the Baywatch theme tune, haha. I welcome a fun new bar to the local area which is renowned for being quite sleepy, as it will improve the sense of the nightlife. Would be nice to have offering something different. Crouch End nearby already has some good little pubs and a few upmarket restaurants, so I love that finally there's a proper evening bar to let your hair down locally without having to venture far out of this area of North London and all with a late license! All good by me, especially if they keep the happy hour that everyone seemed to be taking advantage of previously. I look forward to the relaunch (apparantly it might be in March '16) and dancing to some funky tunes.

Spacious, a slightly industrial look, large, rectangular open space, and brewing equipment in the back. There's an additional space in the basement, which I wouldn't recommend. There's a photo booth for entertainment (warning: they and the photobooth company retain copies of all photos for promotional use). As far as dining options go, they've got a good pub menu, with beer can chicken, sandwiches, cheddar-ale soup, sausage rolls, and wings. I was here very late at night, so I didn't get a chance to try the food, but we did have a nice bowl of nuts that tasted like it was home-roasted with sugar and spices.
