I…read morewill tell you why. we had furniture and household goods in a CLIMATE controlled unit for several years, unfortunately. Every year or several times a year the rent was raised. But the big reason not to use this facility is the mice/ rat infestation and the buildings. When moving belongings out we found there had been rodents who ate through the boxes, destroyed clothes. But the biggest injustice was that rain water came through the building and completely destroyed a high end mattress and box spring) which were in plastic sleeves) but sitting in water that came through the walls it was ruined with mold. Then lower legs of some furniture were also ruined by the water. We immediately notified the agent on duty and she came and documented and took pictures of the water in the units floor, the rodent damage. We PAID for insurance! No problem, forget that. We're only asking for the 2000.00 policy payout to replace the mattress and box spring. Trashed them, and the furniture and clothes. But NO! The insurance company says " rising flood water" is not covered. There was no rising floods but rain water that came through their poorly designed building. Midgard will not return our calls and neither will the insurance company. Unbelievable. Don't use this place. Go elsewhere. We provided pictures to both the storage facility and the insurance company SBOATI. No results. The agent on duty was mortified of the water and mice invasion. Made it sound like, no problem we paid for the additional insurance for years and it's a bunch of bs! Your belongings will be ruined here. Don't store here!

I just had my rent raised for the 6th time and it is now $217. You can rent my same unit for 140 so I am paying $77 more than new customers. They have no concept of how to treat their long term customers. THey just want to get youn in, stuck and bleed you dry hoping that you don't notice your pmts increasing. Extremely money hungry, I am now moving my belongings to another storage unit which is a complete hassle that i dont have time for all because of the Greed of Midgard. To top it off ,they require one month notice to move. SO after they charged me $217 I have to pay it again next month regardless if im gone or not. If i do not they send you to collections. DO NOT RENT HERE, you will regret it.. Btw, i have a second storage unit that i have had for 10 years and it is still $85 per month for the same size. They have NEVER increased prices.

Our furniture was supposed to stay on the truck til it went to our new home the manager guaranteed my husband. The furniture was wrapped at that point. when they unloaded there was BLACK streaks all over my couches. my big couch was broken in the center. there is black dust all over the couches. They broke four bookshelves. several pieces of glass cause there is glass all throughout as I unloaded. The topper is while they were in my home and used the restroom one of them left a middle finger on my bathroom wall in the black dust. They offered @$200 to make things right which we have not accepted. The men talked non stop and goofed off. as I stated they were hired til 4:30. I booked a move with them and put a deposit down. They confirmed with me that they absolutely had…read morethe availability. They said they would call me 3-4 days before the move to go over details with me, that never happened. I finally called them a few days before the move, where someone immediately and very rudely told me that they couldn't move me. They said they were booked up, and didn't have the men. Another guy then tried to tell me that it was an "IT issue" with their central office, not their fault so they couldn't do anything. Through trying to complain about this issue, I was connected back to them and spoke to somebody else. This time his excuse was that a "truck broke down" after I scheduled my move. I do not believe a single one of their ever-shifting excuses. Sure, they're giving me my deposit back and "taking responsibility", but none of that helps me when I have to be out of my place in less than a week. He just kept insisting that someone else can do it (and would not listen when I told him that I did the legwork already and that wasn't true). Do not book with this awful, scam of a company. They will cancel your move and completely screw you over and do nothing to make it right outside of the barest possible minimum.
