Drove San Diego to San Quintin. No problems. Mostly well-maintained Highway. must always use caution driving in Baja daytime is best.

The did not comply with finishing the process of my documents at the time of my visit and am still waiting for benefits that belong to me since I'm still disabled. I expressed the hardship and 12 days later I still have no response to my completed package. Bylaw they cannot withhold payments. I'm on 60 days no payment after waiting 45 days for an appointment . Disabled with a minor at home. At arrival you get disrespected treated like a criminal and attempted to be humiliated by Security guard pictured . Complete out of line character and her demeanor towards the public. She and past guards have you wait outside with disregard to weather conditions or your disability. I recently took pictures of empty lobby seats able to accommodate guard had outside in the heat standing . The appointment line to wait instruction into the building is in the sun. I moved to the shade being that it was only 2 of us out there waiting to get into building and the guard reprimanded me for not standing in the sun appointment line, made me walk to the appointment line just to be immediately called up to be served. Total Humiliation attempt. Civil rights complaint form https://www.ssa.gov/forms/ssa-437.pdf Civil Rights Complaint form Email me if you need help submitting your complaints azaleaaguilera@gmail.com

To cross back over to America from Mexico on foot, you will need to get into one of the two lines…read more The left line is for those with a regular passport, while the right line is for those with global entry. That right line is never an actual line. It's like when Disneyland first came out with the Fastpass; you get to just walk all the way to the front without stopping. If you do not have Global Entry, or Sentri, then you could wait anywhere from 20 minutes, to two hours on foot. If you're entering by car, it will always take at least 2 hours or more, unless you have Global Entry, or Sentri of course. On foot, the line to cross the border is outside. The line is covered, but you will see many Mexican residents walking up and down selling things and asking for money. It is always best to keep your belongings as close to you as possible, and not have anything sticking out of your back pockets for easy access to be stolen. But as long as you aren't being flashy, and you're not showing off expensive jewelry or waiving your money around, you'll be just fine. I do wish that the line was inside the building, like how it is for the line on the other side when you're waiting to get into Mexico. Once inside though, you'll just be asked two questions, and then you're welcomed back in.

Check the image on my "Tip" to know your road options, you don't have much time to switch lanes. Try to enter Mexico with this in mind. Don't forget to buy MX Automobile Insurance, you're not covered with any USA policy. (Online) **** If traveling for more than 72hrs or beyond 30km you'll need a FM-T permit: Rosarito is 30km. You can stop at the vehicle inspection area, walk over to the "Garitas" office to purchase one. Drive defensively :) Plan B.

I see there is no review, and I wanted to write something to help people who need to re-new or…read moreextend their US Visa in Tijuana. First, you need to go for fingerprint. Do not take nothing with you, no bags, no phone, no makeup, no usb, nothing. If you have someone who can keep an eye on your things before you stand in line, better. If not, there is a guy over there who work at the parking next to the fingerprint location. He will keep your things until you exit. This is the guy's job, so I think it is safe. Otherwise, go to your hotel, leave the things and only take to the fingerprints money, the hotel card and the documentation you will need. Then, you have the interview at the Consulate. Also there you are not allowed to enter anything. They made me throw a little something I use to gather my hair. You will wait there for at least 3 hours, I recommend you to have breakfast before. If your appointment is at 10am, you can go before, even 9am will be fine. You will be ask to go through security, then to wait until they call you number to give your paper to someone. Then, you wait in line for fingerprint identification and then, you sit down and someone will call you for a short interview. We were lucky and our visa was delivered the next day, but I can not asure that it is the same for everyone. All the people who I first saw at the finger print I saw the day I picked up my Visa; what makes me thing that perhaps if you are not from Tijauan/Mexico, your Visa is ready right away. If they told you to pick your passport up at 3.00pm, do not try to come before time because they open at 3.00pm, sharp! Besides the regular things your lawyer told you to bring, I recommend you to take with you any documentation you think that might help: marriage certificate, bills, student card, a letter from you employer, last tax paid, driver's license. From there you can return to San Diego through Otay, it is muuuuuuch better than San Ysidro. A taxi from the consulate to the Garita can cost 100 pesos - 10 minutes drive. The same Taxi that took you to the consulate, can wait for you and take you to the Garita Otay. We slept at the Camino Real and was great. Next to the hotel there is a Mall (like UTC), where you can eat, have a coffee at Starbucks and even watch a movie for 4 dollars. We eat a lot and veeeery tasty!!! One place I recommend is Cabanna! I gave 3 starts to the process because it is annoying but very well organized by the personnel out there.
