Visited in June and it was a Deep Eddy Vodka Sponsored month. My friends and I made a 2 hour trip to a Rum/Tiki Bar only to be greeted with a menu serving 12 of 15 drinks vodka/non-rum based. I asked for their signature Bang Bang Barrel but was informed that I could only order from the sponsored menu, I was prepared to buy mugs, merchandise and several drinks but after that we were a bit put off. Within the first 15 minutes the bartender also set off the fire alarms with a flaming drink so we had to wait outside for a bit until the fire department shut off the smoke alarms. I've been to several Tiki Bars in California and other locations, this one is pretty low on the Tiki Pole for me unfortunately. If it wasn't so far of a drive I would give them another chance but at this point I would rather just go to Nashville or Indianapolis for my Tiki Fix. read more

I went to Tiki Tiki bang bang for the Christmas pop-up and I don't know that I would ever go back. The decorations were great. They were very chaotic, but very Christmas. It was karaoke night, so people are having a great time singing in the background. The service was horrible. The bartender was very rude to my entire group. I informed him that allergies and was asking about different drinks on the menu because he had told someone else in my group that he would not be adjusting any of the drinks because they were batch made, and he wasn't remaking anything. I asked him about getting a drink that wasn't on the holiday menu to avoid allergies. He said he would whip something up for me and then proceeded to give me something that was out of a drink dispenser they did have one of my allergens in it. read more

I had an amazing experience at Tiki Tiki bang bang the other night. Some friends and I stopped in for a drink since it was one of our friends's birthdays, and the staff was so welcoming and excited to help us celebrate. We met the owner and he was so kind and you can tell how much he loves this place. The decor inside is amazing and makes you feel like you are at a beach bar, which is amazing for someone who lives in Cincinnati. We came to Tiki Tiki Bang Bang during their Sippin' Santa pop-up for the holidays. (Be aware that their holiday Sippin' Santa drinks are made in bulk, so no modifications can be made.) PROS: -The theme here is adorable. It was especially during when mixed with Christmas/holiday vibes. They did a great job of mixing Tiki and "holiday" including a twerking Santa with a grass Tiki skirt. -Bartender was extremely friendly. He was very knowledgeable about the drinks in addition to just being plain ol' friendly. He was quick at pouring, and he was able to keep up with the entire bar on Friday. It was impressive. -Variety of seating options. They have lots of bar seating, a few tables with high-top chairs, and a few booths. I didn't see what seating was available outdoors. There's limited seating that's low-top. -Drinks weren't super expensive. Even during the holiday event, cocktails ranged from $10 to $18, and each one came out picture-perfect. CONS: -Tiki Tiki Bang Bang is in a pretty small space. They make it work for them, but I could see it getting really loud and crowded during peak times. As long as people aren't standing in them, though, walkways are open enough to traverse the full bar without feeling cramped. -Drinks didn't seem to have heavy pours. We came here on black Wednesday and I am so glad that my cousins decided to take me here. When you walk in the front it looks like a video store. You walk back through the shelf of videos and you are back inside an awesome tiki bar. The decors is awesome, you could spend a lot of time just checking out the different areas. The bartenders are great, quick and friendly; the menu of drinks of course is all tiki themed with interesting cups. We came from Columbus for the Sippin Santa pop up event that is going on - a licensed pop up event created by Beachbum Berry and Tiki Tiki Bang Bang is the only location in Ohio that is hosting it. Overall it was a solid experience! The decor and cocktails were festive and full of boozy cheer. As soon as you enter you're transported to a Winter Wonderland full of rum delights. If you can grab the ginger snap shots along with the Surf Nut (my favorite of the 3 cocktails I've had) I highly recommend. Surf Nut had a full-body, dessert-like flavor with the spiced Caribbean water adding a nice complex spice to the drink. The shot was very strong but the strength of the navy proof rum is offset by the sweet, nutty macadamia syrup and ginger mix. The staff was laid back and friendly. The owner was behind the bar slinging drinks and we were greeted as soon as we walked in even during a rush on a Friday evening. My only complaint is certain drinks were disappointing like the Ho Ho Hot Buttered Rum and Sharky's First Christmas which didn't hit the mark for me. But the Sharky mug is incredible and we grabbed quite a few mugs as souvenirs! read more

The place was everything you'd want from a tiki bar - including a bartender who obviously loved his job, enthusiastically planning a SpongeBob Square Pants movie night where he enlisted the restaurant next door to make crabby patties and was trying to figure out how to keep a continuous flow of bubbles going. We were instantly charmed as we eavesdropped on his brainstorm. The drinks were delicious, served in fun glasses, and the bartender was kind enough to alert us that we should get our phones out for a trick she was about to pull off. I am a complete and total sucker for a Tiki bar and this place has me sold!! The bar staff is so funny and personable and cool. I ordered The Siren's Song which was served to me a large conch shell and had rum, mango, papaya, almond and charred cinnamon. yup, charred cinnamon. Met up with friends during one of the "Sippin Santa" nights. Loved the decor, was super festively lit up and had some very fun looking festive drinks. However, I had tried their "Sippin Santa" drink which was not good at all. Others I was with had expressed the same sentiments. I ended up having the "Christmas on Ice," which was much better. Since it is a bar, the seating was limited due to being a little packed. I used to love this place when it was Video Archive, but had not been since they change the theme. Stopped in late, around 11 PM, on a Saturday and was surprised that they were already closing up. Literally the first day the bartender told us when we walked in the door was that they were closing in the next 40 minutes, which still felt like a significant amount of time so it was a little off-putting. Either way we decided to stay for one drink and it was totally worth it because the drinks were festive and delicious. The menu fits the theme with lots of exotic offerings. The drinks were OUTSTANDING and our bartender, Vicki, was great. since I am not a typical consumer of these types of drinks, she was able to figure me out and create a variety of some awesome drinks that fit my personality and taste.
