It was fun! We did the sunset cruise. Got to see a lot of the island we haven't in the past. The music was amazing!! I will say the party vibe of it all depends on the group since underagers are allowed on...so they aren't drinking and they parents aren't so not much dancing. Overall worth it and would recommend!

    You can feel the memories.

My family fully appreciated our tour and time on the island exploring tide pools and sandbars in a serene uncrowded setting of south topsail island. Seeing ospreys nesting and history of the topsail towers and there repurposing today was very cool, indeed. I recommend this 3 hour tour expect memories you can feel!

Really awesome time, and highly recommend! My family and I did the three-hour private charter this morning with Captain Eddie. We got gorgeous weather, calm water, lots of osprey and baby osprey sightings, as well as loads of dolphins and a very special dolphin calf sighting! Truly breathtaking. Eddie provided lots of history about the intercoastal waterway and Topsail island. Our time on the beach at Lea-Hatuff Island was sweet - we found many large shells and three shark teeth. All of us - from 3 years old to 50 years old - had a blast.

Overall, we enjoyed our 2-hour tour aboard the Tiki Queen. Our captain and his wife (cannot remember their names) were friendly and informative, especially regarding some of the history of human habitation and development along our tour route. It's too bad that the sea life doesn't present themselves on cue, but that's simply not something Tiki Tours can orchestrate and we only saw several ospreys perched on their nests atop channel markers, some with chicks. One disappointment for me personally was that the "paddle-wheeler" really isn't. Tiki Queen is powered by diesel engines and twin propellers. The wheel is not functional. We enjoyed the tour as a relaxing, if somewhat boring, getaway on the water with friendly folk.

We booked a private 3 hour tour online for Tuesday morning after several re-bookings due to weather, we finally were cleared on Friday. They were so helpful throughout the entire rescheduling process, offering us a different time for each day we were here. Constant communication leading up to our trip too! We arrived to the marina about 15 minutes before our tour to meet with Captain Summer. She welcomed us aboard and then shared with us our itinerary for the day. We were going to head towards Lea-Hutaff Island for shelling. The tiki boat was super comfy and we loved sitting in the far back as well as the two chairs up at the front! Great views from everywhere! We were lucky enough to catch the bridge moving for a large ship as we were setting out so we saw the whole process from the boat. Super cool to see! Captain Summer shared lots of local information as we went along the ICW about Topsail and Sloop Point. The teenagers in our group enjoyed the information she shared about Blackbeard on the way back. We hit the island within an hour and had about an hour out on the island to explore and look for shells. We found several unique shells and several big shells. We wished we would have had more time out there to continue looking for shells. We really cannot wait until next year to go on another tour! It was worth all the money we paid. Definitely a must do if you are looking for a cool way to explore the island!

We took a 3 hour adventure with Tiki Tours. First class service, friendly staff and knowledgeable tour guide. Tour started promptly at 4pm and ended at 7pm. Highly recommend the tour, worth the money.

This tour is awesome! We did the sunset tour and had so much fun. The ride south through the ICW is absolutely beautiful. The first mate told interesting stories and gave great info about the local wildlife. Then on the ride back they bring out the disco ball and you can request whatever music you want. We had so much fun and the rest of the passengers did as well. It was great to meet people and watch the gorgeous sunset as you cruise down the waterway. If you don't take this tour you have missed out on seeing Topsail island in a breathtaking way.

I couldn't give this enough stars. Book the max time. The ride there was beautiful and we were basically alone on the island as it was a midweek morning. Captain James was an outstanding guide! I've recommended this to my friends and family.

My cat unfortunately catches a bird every year it seems and I have to make the annual trip to Possumwood. This year it was a baby dove. Possumwood Acres was by far the most personable and accommodating of all the centers I contacted. We reserved a private tour of the reserve and a one-on-one with Pixie, their Barn Owl. What we got was so much more! We arrived the day after Christmas, bringing two of our friends along. We were greeted by turkeys & guinea fowl along with friendly human faces! Tonya, my point of contact, introduced herself and was our guide for the day. She took us all around the reserve where we saw falcons, hawks, vultures, crows, geese, swans, ducks, goats, pigs, peacocks, guinea fowl, turkeys, bunnies, squirrels, kestrels, pigeons, opossums, screech owls, woodpecker, kite, ducklings, and a lovely wood duck named Snuggles. Tonya brought us up close to everything and let us pet or hold as much as we wanted and was safe for the animals. We learned so much about all the animals, not just the species we were meeting, but about the individual animals and their stories as well. Most of them had permanent injuries, and it was really touching to hear how Tonya and the staff cared for them, giving them a home when they weren't able to have one in the wild. Tonya's passion was infectious and we wandered the reserve with her for two hours, never feeling rushed and always looking forward to the next animal she would show us. The grand finale was a one-on-one with Pixie, their Barn Owl! My brother held Pixie on his arm as Tonya educated us on barn owls, and some of Pixie's fun peculiarities. We were all able to pet her and take as many pictures as we wanted. It. Was. Awesome. The whole experience was very personal and interactive. It never felt like a packaged show or scripted tour. We had real interactions with the animals, not just a few pets through a fence. For a place that runs entirely on donations and is dedicated to animal rehabilitation and education, we were given the star treatment. It's crazy and so impressive how much this place accomplishes with so little. A huge thank you to Possumwood Acres for making our experience unforgettable!

He asked for input about where we wanted to go on the ride but also offered great suggestions. It was a nice balance. The day of the ride was SO much fun. There were six of us and plenty of room on the boat to spread out. One of us has a bit of anxiety about boats and James was very reassuring. The island James took us to was peaceful and beautiful and it was amazing getting to float in the still water nearby. He even collected some shells for my toddler to bring home! James is not a Wilmington native but has been here for a while and has clearly worked hard on knowing the area well. The two hours flew by - we had such a great time. Before we got back I was thinking about when we could rationalize doing it again. Highly, highly recommend booking with Salty Feet. Full disclaimer that I know James through a friend, but that doesn't sway my opinion in any way. I'm not affiliated with the business and don't know James well.
