Really good experience at Tikka recently. We ordered a pickup with multiple entrees, and everything was ready on time, delicious, and plentiful! We ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, Tofu Tikka Masala, and a Lamb dish as well as multiple naans. Each dish was wonderful, tasted great, and more than enough. Loved eating here the other day! Lamb kawab and korma were my favorites. The garlic jalapeño cheese naan I tried of my girls was next level! Rice was fluffy and fresh too. Service was great, could use a little more familiarity with the menu but was fast like lightning to give us what we wanted. So I think I have eaten at all three Tikka and Grill ...and they are all consistenly great. My friends just back from Nepal and wanted to reminisce about their journey...no better place than Tikka. This location is probably the best as it is warm and inviting. The one on 6th feels temporary...but the food makes up for the ambiance. Here the food is just as great! I was really excited to try this place after reading so many rave reviews about it. I got the chicken tikka masala, like I usually do at all Indian restaurants, though I admit it's a pretty basic choice. But some places definitely do it really well, and this was not it. It was just ok. Not exceptionally flavorful or tasty. I also ordered the chicken saag, and that was a massive disappointment. I usually love saag dishes, but the only thing I could taste in this dish was salt. It was so salty that both my boyfriend and I abandoned eating it after a couple bites. Even mixing it with rice wasn't enough to cut the salt and make it palatable. The cheese naan was pretty good, but it's kind of hard to mess up cheese and bread. The vegetable pakora were also tasty, but who doesn't like most fried food!? Heh. Anyhow, maybe it's just this location, the particular person who was cooking the night we ordered, or the fact that we ordered it for take out, but I'm not likely to give this spot another try. The Madras lamb curry was very good and I get to have it again for dinner because the lunch portion was more than double what I could eat. The service in the restaurant was very quick, which may be due to more take-out business than patrons in the restaurant at lunch time. The ambiance was nice. A must try Indian restaurant!! Their food is full of flavor and their spicy levels deliver. Have you ever tried jalapeño cheese naan?? I highly recommend. You can tell it is freshly made in house (or close by) by the quality of the chopped jalapeños inside of the naan. Of course, I ordered the basic Chicken Tikka Masala which tasted phenomenal. I could order this every time and be happy and satisfied. The chicken Korma is also delicious! Their coconut tomato soup is perfect for a cold day. Honestly a great pairing with this could be a grilled cheese sandwich or cheese naan for sure. Another plate I got to try was the mushroom manchurian. To be completely honest, I don't like eating mushrooms but these were FIREEE and I would order/eat them again. With the 3 main dishes and the side of soup, the 3 of us were stuffed and walked out with leftovers. The portion sizes here are decently sized and the prices here are very reasonable. read more

Finally made it here! Of course the garlic naan is incredible. Of course the butter chicken is outrageously good (like, licking my plate good). I also really enjoyed the tandoori wings (best priced wings in town I bet) and the Bombay potatoes! The Bombay potato dish is large enough to share with at least 3 other people if not more. We sat at the bar. Our server was attentive and friendly. And the food was very quick to the table. I can't wait to come back and try more dishes! I LOVE the food here. Everything we have tried is always outstanding and full of spice. Medium is the perfect heat for us and we like spicy food. Although we love the food, we probably won't dine in anymore and just get it for take out. The service is consistently terrible; the lack of attention to time we sit and then need to tell them we want to order & having to ask for to-go boxes multiple times before getting them & then asking for the check while sitting for about 15 minutes done with food and packing up our food. It never fails that the service is like this...it's disappointing to say the least when the food is as good as it is. read more

We had not eaten at the new location (the original one moved) so we thought we'd give it a try. The decor is really pretty, deep rich colors make for a warm and inviting surrounding. We pretty much had the place to ourselves as it was mid afternoon. Our food came out very quickly like always, and was absolutely delicious. Forgive me if I get the names wrong but we had the Pakora (little nest of crunchy flavorful veggies,the Aloo Gobi, a wonderful cauliflower dish, Aloo Saag, a really interesting and tasty spinach dish, I am not typically a fan of spinach, but my Daughter told me I had to try this preparation and I was happy I did. We also had Chicken Tikka Masala with a really flavorful rice, always delicious here. Just be careful about the spice. I like spice, and their medium is sometimes almost painful. Oh!, they started the whole meal with these crispy, paper thin rice cakes?/crackers with three different sauces to dip them in - fun and delicious. The staff is always really sweet and helpful, and were quick to bring us multiple to go containers - we ordered way too much, but the left overs were awesome. The only indian place I have tried since moving to Denver, but insanely impressed. I got chicken tikka masala with basmati rice and vegetable samosas. The tikka was quite spicy (I got medium spicy) but incredibly flavorful and the chicken was tender and delicious. I was pleasantly shocked by the amount of rice that was given to me. Way more than enough. I feel like I always get skimped on rice at other places, but this container was bursting at the seems. The Samosas were delicious. I cant speak much on service or ambiance as I just stopped by to pick food up, however the worker that assisted me was very friendly and overall quick. read more

I'm a big fan of Tikka and Grill. The original at 1300 S Broadway has always done us well. Quality food for a reasonable price. The location at 6th and Downing felt a little step down food quality and service wise, so we were interested to try this 3rd location. I got a takeout from them a few weeks ago, and yesterday took my family there for a sit down dinner. Summary - the food was decidedly 'meh', which was actually better than the service. We ordered appetizers that never came, and the chicken in the tikka masala was clearly not fresh. For 4 adults with a 6 year old, no appetizer, no desert, and just nan bread to accompany our entrees, $140 seemed too much for what it was. There seemed to be just 1 waitstaff on a Thursday evening, who did both the drinks at the bar, and took all orders. As we sat and waited for our bill (after flagging him down 10 mins before asking for it), we could clearly see other diners were frustrated with the service as well. I hope the place survives and thrives, but to do that, it will need to improve staffing and the service experience, and try and reduce the inflated prices. I just checked the prices at the 1300 S Broadway location - the same dishes are several $ cheaper there, and for me - are cooked a lot better. 20 years ago I'd have killed to have a good Indian restaurant in the neighborhood. Let me preface this by saying that Tikka and Grill is our all time favorite restaurant, and the other two locations have never let us down. We ordered from this one because there was a promotion. We got our usual: butter chicken, saag paneer, and cheese naan, and we tried the paneer pakora for the first time. The sauce from the butter chicken was unusually thin and runny, and the naan was super thick and doughy and didn't seem like it had much cheese in it. Everything we ordered was just kind of bland and lacking the flavor we love so much. We were so disappointed and will not return to this location. read more

Wonderful experience, ordered my usual butter chicken/Samoa's & coconut naan for dipping & it was good. I had a nice time with the bartender and getting to know about the place how long they've been there and he was very pleasant and enjoyable. Typically love tikka and grill but prefer the other broadway location when getting delivery due to the fact that we've had issue with the amount of meat and spice from this location. Our delivery today was completely inedible. The chicken tikka masala and chicken korma were soupy with very little meat. There was no distinguishable flavor between the two. Both tasted like canned tomato bisque. The appetizer platter was nothing but onion and also had no flavor whatsoever. The garlic cauliflower was clearly heated in a microwave given the mushy and wet texture. Will not be ordering from here again. read more

But when I walked in the only tables that didn't have people were covered with uncleared dishes, it was packed with all of the delivery drivers waiting to pick up food, and there was one poor guy running around trying to take care of all the people yelling for his attention. We decided to try Tikka and Grill for a quick weeknight dinner. I was impressed by the menu variety, especially all the non-meat protein options with dishes that often are only available with chicken or lamb. My partner and I both had tikka masala, mine was with paneer and hers with chicken. I've never had it with paneer before and really enjoyed it. I ordered mine medium spicy and was pleased with the heat level. It was also quite tasty. My partner really liked the mango lassi she had with hers. Our server was very nice and warmly welcomed us. The restaurant started to get busy as we were close to finishing our meal and the wait for our check was a bit long. However, when my partner finally went up to the bar to ask for it our server brought it right away and was apologetic. We plan to eat here again and are looking forward to checking out their interesting cocktail menu. They also have a decent selection of craft beers and wines. It's nice to have a restaurant like this in the neighborhood. This space has been multiple restaurants over the years. I'd never been inside before and liked the warm feel of the dining room with hardwood floors and deep orange walls. I hope Tikka and Grill breaks the trend of frequent turnover in this location. read more
