The owner is frequently present, the staff takes exemplary care of the horses and the boarders are friendly. There is a good size indoor arena and a larger outdoor arena, both with excellent footing. The arenas are rarely busy, and you never get wildness going on when you ride. Beth is selective about who gets to board here. I ride trail on the weekends, and live a distance from the barn. I choose to travel here, to trailer my horse, because I know the quality of life for my horse is the best. I never worry when I don't get out to the barn for a few days, as I know there are many eyes on him. He is outside daily, and the doors are always open for fresh air.

When my horses accidentally escaped onto the property, instead of helping resolve the situation, the first thing she did was criticize me and tell me I needed a new gate. Rather than focusing on safely catching the horses, she chose to lecture me( there barn is like 20 feet away from mine)!!!. She also told people who were around my horse not to help us catch her, making an already difficult situation harder than it needed to be. Even the employees know she's a terrible person as soon as we got there they say "be careful of the owner"!!! The most unbelievable comment was when she told me that my own horse "didn't even like me." My horse is a young mare who had just escaped, SHES 3!!!...was surrounded by strangers with ropes, and was in an unfamiliar environment with other geldings. Any experienced horse person should understand why a horse would be nervous in that situation. Making a personal insult instead of helping was completely inappropriate. Afterward, she followed me back to the my barn and insisted on inspecting our gates as if she had authority over another property. She wouldn't let my horse go until she got inside my barn. Her behavior throughout the entire situation was absolutely horrendous.I hear soooooo many complaints about this owner!! Based on this experience, I would never recommend JB's Ranch or its owner. Respect and professionalism were completely absent when they mattered most MY HORSES SAFETY!!! DO NOT BRING YOUR HORSE HERE $750 A MONTH WILL BE WAY MORE WORTH IT SOMEWHERE ELSE!!

It was easy enough to get an appointment at a convenient time. The shih tzu is usually apprehensive about the grooming experience but he had no issues here. Utterly disappointing We became members 4/2024. 2:2026 my…read moredog was attacked by Jake the pitbull male who tried to hump her. He almost ripped her ear off if she had not reacted. We thought all was well, the owner John Quinn assured us the dog would be removed permanently, but that wasn't true. My girl experienced trauma from the attack and I didn't want a reoccurrence so we had to withdraw her from attending. We just recently tried to take her to another facility, but unbeknownst to us she was removed from the system. Now the process has to start from scratch because the facility manager at Plainfield will not communicate with another facility to validate my girl. I don't want to speak ill of the situation, but my rating speaks for itself. My girl deserved better!
