Campo Marzio sells various items made of coloured leather. All the colours of the rainbow are available in leather and the only colour you will Not find is Black! I love their Valet Trays and bought one in Dark Brown as a gift for my partner. Because it can be spread flat, we take it with us on all our travels and use it to store daily knickknacks like keys and coins.. I wish I could buy one in every colour! You could choose from their letter openers to letter holders or diaries to pens. They sell a few funky items too like a wax seal and feathered calligraphy set, of course available in all the bright colours. As I'm addicted to shopping there, I have now changed my walking route and try to go by only once a month. Doesn't seem to have made a difference as I now buy twice as many items when inside.

Unfortunately, the very shit service and unclear product description is what you get. I bought a product under false pretence as one of their staff member described as "Leather" only to find after a closer look that it is PLASTIC. Campo Marzio design should train their staff better and not allow them to give false information as such. Asked for a refund. they refused. And get this, the lady at the store Campo Marzio design basically told me "You must have misheard". I have a pair of ears, a brain, and my uni degree and I'm also running my own business. I'm sure I have the capability to understand when someone tells me whether something is Leather or not. I paid $95 AUD for a Campo Marzio design document holder, to which I needed a leather doc holder. From the price, I wouldve thought it would be leather. I would be happy if Campo Marzio design at least apologised or showed the good customer service retailers show by listening to a customer complaint - instead of trying to tell me that "NO you're wrong, you misheard". The $95 I can try to overlook, what I cant overlook is the ridiculous customer service at Campo Marzio design and the fact that I will never shop there again.

In particular they support children living in poverty in India, free food distribution to the needy, sponsoring free community based cultural events and promoting a holistic lifestyle of balance and wellbeing through educational programs. Wow. I loved it before because it has some very pretty stuff - gorgeous and original floaty silk dresses and long beads and silver earings that I haven't seen before. It's only a small shop but what they do sell is all quality stuff and now, I find out, sold in aid of socially conscious cause. What a delight.

The store sells their own label, Alice Underground, which focuses on simple, feminine pieces like smock dresses, flowy printed skirts and oversized t-shirts - accordingly, a lot of the designs are one-size-fits-all so you can easily change how you wear them with belts or by using them with extra pieces of clothing. I used to come into this store a lot when I lived in the area, and pretty much always found something I liked - generally, this fell into the summery, beach cover-up category at a reasonable price. Last time I went the selection of stock was a bit random, but most likely they were just in between seasons.

Also a white lace minidress with lovely bell sleeves that was by a local fashion designer...and yes, these all came home with me. Shout-out to Natalie and Hazel who were both extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. One big gripe that may sound silly but it's a legit issue: they pack WAY too many items onto each rack. They are so tightly packed together that you honestly can't slide them apart to see a garment. I mean there is truly not even a tiny gap between the hangers; the hooks are hard-pressed together on the clothing rack bar. I've never seen this many garments shoved so tightly, even at a down-market thrift store. It made it so difficult to browse that I ended up skipping past big swaths of racks that I really wanted to look at but simply could not access. It was bizarre and extremely off-putting, which is a shame.. If I could have actually SEEN the clothes properly this place would get a full 5 stars. Dear shop owner: if you absolutely must put out this many items, just buy longer racks. There's space in your store to put in more racks, especially upstairs. You will sell MORE clothes when people can actually browse through them. Stop buying hangers and start buying racks!

Where as shops like St Vincent De Pauls, or Vinnies, as it is known, stock large amounts of everything, clothes thrown onto racks and boxes and boxes yet to be unpacked waiting patiently out the back. U-Turns is more sparing with the clothes that it sells. It's as though the clothes must first pass a series of tests before they are displayed in the shop and sold to the masses. Are they stylish? All the clothes available on the U-Turn Recycled Clothing racks are very hip and very apt, some faux fur formal wear for your first foray into furry fashion. Bold and brash cowboy boots with buckles and buffed leather finishes. A hat made of a mink that makes you think about the stink it would have caused to hunt said mink and taylor him into a hat. The prices reflect the classier appeal and display of the clothing and, while cheaper than most first hand clothing, is a little pricier than the shops next door. You could find, mixed amongst the trash and bland clothing in most thrift shops, a piece of treasure that would look so bold in your wardrobe, but to find that you would have to be lucky. Likewise it would be quite unlucky to find some trash in all the treasure at U-Turn.
