There were quite a few engines on offer...ranging from $500+ E-Bay and wrecking yard models to $1200-$1500 extra low miles direct import Japanese units. I went with these guys, (despite them being almost $300) higher than the cheapest E-Bay option. I did that because I was told they were a good, reputable place to purchase Honda parts from in NC. The original engine purchased was a relative low miles unit, which I had shipped directly to the install facility. On installation and initial startup, a coolant weep from a hairline crack in the block was discovered. The installation facility notified me and then immediately reached out to Beaver. The car never left the shop. The delay was an expensive inconvenience. One week later, a much higher mileage engine was sent out to the facility. It was again installed after removal of their first defective unit...(two complete installation charges) because of their defective part sent. Things happen! I'm not unreasonable but the fact remains, I paid for a "good" engine. If it is not and I incur massive additional costs as a result, cost sharing would be the least they should offer...(either discount the engine or pick up a part of the installation). I was prepared to absorb much of it, despite not being at fault. These guy were having none of it. They completely absolved themselves from ANY of those costs...despite sending a faulty engine. They refused to let me speak to the owner and acted as if they'd done me a favor by sending out a much higher mileage engine. I did not beg for that engine. I paid money for it...money I could have spent elsewhere.

I drove almost an hour to automotive anything because i knew they would give me the honest opinion of what needed to be replaced. They told me only the gasket needed to be replaced and that would fix my coolant problem. They also clarified that my hoses were just fine and not due for a replacement. We provided an extensive list of items to repair and they also made another recommendation that was not visible to us. Our truck is a 2008 6.4L Ford F-350 truck which requires that the cab be lifted off for some of these repair/service items and they wisely focused on major repairs and service items to maximize the value of the work required "under the hood."
