I cannot say enough good things about this company! We were among the many people who suffered tree damage in the February blizzard. We had used them before and were very pleased with the previous work. So of course, we called them again. They came out and gave us an estimate which was very reasonable. They came yesterday morning and within 45 minutes the trees were down, piles of branches picked up, and all bits and pieces cleaned up! This tree company came by my neighbors property to remove some trees. One of the trees ended up falling onto my property and crushing my fence, raised garden beds, and a few other items that happen to be laying in my yard. After Tim Baker and Sons Tree Services saying they would compensate us for the damages, they have refused to call us back. I very rarely ever consider leaving any type of review, but to have this type of service provided for our locals is unacceptable. Unfortunately, we will have to be taking this matter forward with the town to make sure we are compensated. Something simple could've been handled so easily. It's a shame. This is how their business is run. I strongly advise against using this company because evidently they don't know how to cut trees down, or take responsibility for their actions. read more

I had a conversation over the phone with Tim that was not too pleasant. He was short fused and very quick in his responses. He was not able to tell me when the tree would be taken down. The company just showed up without advanced warning. Thankfully we have caring and interested neighbors who called us. The person was rude to neighbors calling them busybodies and being visibly upset. If our neighbors had not interrupted them the WRONG tree would have been taken down. As it turns out they removed some very healthy limbs from the tree and left the dead ones on. The crew was audibly upset and dropped numerous f-bombs that could be heard loud and clear by neighbors. Its unfortunate that this all happened because the taking down of the actual tree was a good job. read more

Called back the same day and took our tree limbs down the day they said they would. Huge limbs 30 feet up damaged by a storm hanging over guy wires attached to a pole across Rt. 6A in a tricky spot - they did it professionally and without any problems whatsoever! Left the limbs as we asked and even cleaned up the right of way. Have used them before in the past and will call them in the future if the need arises. All around good people!! read more

Extremely expensive quote but we went with them because some years ago the owner gave us excellent service. Didn't comply with written instructions on contract to enter the yard from the side so destroyed two fences and some newly installed shingles on the house. Didn't return our call. Seems like new people running the business. read more

I called Tim and he came out within hours to review the work and he provided an extremely reasonable written estimate shortly thereafter. Tim Baker & Sons Tree Service: 508-398-0966. I honestly don't know if these folks are for real, but I called them to take a look at some trees and shrubs that needed pruning and shaping. I have pretty major landscape needs at my home and I was looking for an expert to manage it all. They sent someone down who looked more like a mafia boss than a tree and shrub pruning / shaping expert. In my opinion, he knew next to nothing about tree pruning and shaping, contradicted himself many times, and made me very skeptical. I sent him away! If this company is for real, they may want to start sending an expert out on estimate calls. read more

Tim Baker has done tree work for our home on Cape Cod for over 15 years. Never a problem,never a complaint. He just took 5 trees down within the last 45 days (March/April 2018) and ground out the stumps. Saw my accurate review, but had me from CA not CT. read more

Tim came out to look at some trees I wanted taken down. I have worked with many tree companies in the past, but have never been actively insulted by one before. Baker walked by my wife and said, "This guy wants all the work done but doesn't want to pay for any of it!" prior to even giving me an estimate. I hadn't even received an estimate from him at that point. When I did, it turned out to be $6000. Davey, another company, charged $1200 for the same work. So if you are looking for gruff, unprofessional service at an unreasonable price, do consider Baker. read more

The most unprofessional people I have ever hired! There crew of workers came to trim a tree in our yard. Several of the workers were smoking pot before the job and then proceeded into our yard to play lawn games. Once they started there were two guys working and 9 standing around. They left the job site a mess and equipment in the tree. We went out after them to let them know and they were sitting in the truck smoking pot. They came back to get there equipment but left the yard a mess leaving it covered in empty water bottles and cigarette butts. Regarding their pricing - our quote was following a storm and we were told the job would take most of the day and they would be there in 3 days to take care of it. It took them two weeks to get to the job and 2 hours to do the job. The labor rate was over $1000 an hour. When I called to question them they said the estimator no longer worked there because he did not know what he was doing. But insisted my estimate was correct. They also charged my credit card with out my authorization. Be careful of these unethical low life's- go with anyone else if you need tree work done. read more

A few years ago I had some trees removed by this company. I had some piles of leaves raked up intending to bag them and take them to the dump. When I returned I noticed that they had taken the leaves also. Easy for them, sure, but they did not have to do it. Great company. read more

Our elderly Dad hired this service recently to remove 2 trees and some large branches. First, Tim was not able to tell us a specific day they would do the work. We were informed by a last minute phone call. The largest tree, and most visible from the street, was approx. 20" diameter at the base. They (whoever Tim sent, he was not present) left a 4ft tall stump, complaining that they burnt out 2 saw blades trying to cut it off, and it must have rocks inside it! A telephone call to Tim later, asking that it be removed, was not only fruitless, he was rude. This tree stump (which, by the way, had NO cut marks on it) was later cut by my social worker brother who brought a chainsaw from home. We witnessed him cut through it like butter! Other minor complaints were that a large branch was dragged through the lawn, and their truck left a puddle of oil on the driveway. And it wasn't inexpensive! Will not use them again. read more
