It is now February 6, 2020 and it was not until yesterday that I found out that my insurance was cancelled on January 31, 2020 due to underwriting issues. Underwriting issues that were not my fault! I did not receive a call, email, or notice in the mail stating that my insurance would be cancelled or the reason why. What prompted me to call State Farm was a notice from the bank holding my car loan stating that they had received a cancellation notice. When I called on February 4th, they stated that there were not any notes and they would need to research and call me back. How can they cancel someone's insurance and not have any notes?! They called me on February 5th with the reason it was cancelled (again, not anything that I did) and provided me with a new quote that was $140 more than what I was paying. The only good thing that came of this situation is that, Christina, the individual assigned to my policy provided me with information to a broker who was able to find me a policy comparable to what I was paying. I was lucky though because State Farm had already reported the lapse in coverage. I'm so confused as to how everyone got notified but me! Needless to say, I don't recommend this insurance office.
