Madia's employees communicated with me in a very timely, courteous, and informative manner, and I felt happy to purchase Erie Insurance through them. Through Erie Insurance, I was able to significantly increase my insurance coverages for auto, home, and umbrella--and to save significant amounts of money on premiums. Erie Insurance immediately communicated with my mortgage company to update my escrow account for home insurance, and they immediately sent me the policy papers in email and mail. On the day that my policies began, I had no problems with registering on Erie Insurance's website. Update: In the past two years, my husband and I have filed one claim with Erie, and it was for a replacement windshield after a flying rock on a road had cracked the glass. He scheduled a time to come out, and was prompt. He was very knowledgeable about my policy, and reassuring in my home. He was thorough, and did whatever he could to make this whole mess run as smoothly as it could. My claim was paid out in a matter of days, and he had great communication the whole way through. I'm not sure if Erie as a whole company is this easy to deal with, but I'm thankful I at least got Daniel assigned to my claim because he sure was. The cost for coverage compared to other companies is awfully high. Apparently when I make an auto insurance payment, that money must cover the cost of a loss elsewhere. I know many people who have left State Farm due to the high cost of coverage. As a 20+ year customer, my costs are quite high when compared to other companies for the same coverage. Recently a bonehead in the underwriting department completely screwed up one of my auto policies. Seriously, this was a problem that caused much stress and grief! Why am I giving State Farm 5 stars? I am not. I am giving Crystal at Chris Wertz's office 5 stars. Her dedication and persistence is an asset to the office and the company. I hope both realize what a gem they have in her.
