After nearly three hours on the road, heading home after a fun, relaxing vacation in Ottawa, I needed a pit stop. I had just rolled into Madoc. I saw a McDonald's and a Tim Horton's across the street from each other. The former was so packed that I didn't see a free parking spot anywhere. The Timmy's had more parking, so I went in there. The women's washroom has two stalls. There were five of is waiting in line. If you need to use it, plan for some bladder wait time. You'll need it. The hand dryer was out of commission. I left the washroom with soggy hands. I went to the counter, got some napkins, and dried my hands off. After my bladder had thanked me, I decided to get a snack. I'm not a huge donut person, as I overdosed on them when I did rotating shift work years ago. I do crave a honey crueller now and again. The woman helping me out was friendly. I used my app to collect a reward point. So I thought. Instead, the woman said that I had a reward and gave me my snack for free. What?! I have only used this app twice! Well, it turns out that you get a free reward on your birthday. Ah, how nice! I thanked her and walked out happy. I ate the cruller as I continued my drive home. It was light and fluffy, and not terribly sweet. It was great. There was an eclectic mix of vehicles in the parking lot, from small vehicles and minivans, to a tractor and a group of motorcycles. We hot London Fog Lattes and the Savory Jalapeño Pastry. It's a busy place which works best if your familiar with it, but us it seemed disorganized. The pastry seemed like it was something premanufactured and heated to be served, yet ours had filling which was still cold. It didn't sit well with me. The London Fog we are familiar with Earl Grey with Lavender. These were Earl Gray with Vanilla syrup. They were okay. The reminds me of Dunkin Donuts. Neither is great. I'm glad we tried it but doubt itx ever really want to come back. It's not my cup of tea or pastry preference. read more

The service seemed fine, but the salad I got was teensy-weensy. Tim- you can't have a photo on the menu of a gorgeous salad full of veggies and slide me a clamshell with a single ripped up leaf of lettuce, two paper thin slices of tomato and a bag of kraft dressing on the side and expect me to be thrilled. FFS. I needed a meal not a sample. My sister got the Greek wrap- she's a vegetarian and didn't get any meat on it. Drive thru person was in a real hurry to take my order than when I got the order it was wrong. I ordered a small regular coffee. Apparently the headset doesn't work because I received a tea with milk. I wasn't aware of this until I returned home. The "spill-proof" lids which I complain to corporate about continue to leak burning hot liquid all over my hand. The rest of my order was fine. There is a serious problem with the lids that no one seems to be addressing. At this location, in Picton, in Marmora, no one seems to be addressing the fact that the lids easily pop off or leak too easily. Next time it happens, I am suing because I will not be ignored any longer. read more

This Time Hortons in Madoc can't handle motor coaches. Too small. They also don't look after the tour guide and motor coach operator. Found another place that will look after our guests on Hwy 7. Will be letting other coach drivers the situation read more

Stopped to get a bite to eat and now feel sick. Ordered breakfast sandwiches including breakfast wrap and sausage McMuffin, bacon English muffin and a egg on an English muffin. The meat products were cold and under cooked in both sandwiches, it took forever to get the meal and they had no hash browns to boot. I won't stop here again. Actually had to drink to get the crap taste out of my mouth. Hubby now feels sick and we have 3 hours more driving. Save yourself and don't eat here unless you just want a donut read more

Went in to order a donut and a sandwich of the 11 workers 3 were not wearing their masks properly and the staff did nothing for the lobby guests they had 1 till open. I tried to order a breakfast sandwich and the lady didn't understand what I was asking so I tried explaining only to have 2 other workers come over and start yelling at me and threaten to kick me out. I had not swore or raised my voice at this point so no real reason to eject me from the establishment. I finally was able to order and was told my food would come to the left and she stood there and stared at me which made me forget my change to which I was called back over after they realized they owed me change. I got the sandwich and I asked does it have the extra bacon I paid for which the lady forgot to add at the till and I reminded her because I'm not trying to get anything free and the worker assured me it did so I opened my sandwich right there and it had 3 pieces of bacon the normal amount but I paid for an additional 3 so I should get 6 so I questioned it the worker got mad mentioned she had been working there for 6 years and proceeded to bring me my extra bacon pieces in a bag and basically tossed them at me. I said uhm no I would like my sandwich remade properly with the amount of bacon I ordered. I'm not getting paid to make sandwiches there they are and I'm not fixing their mistake sorry. She proceeded to yell and argue with me instead of going and remaking the sandwich until I turned around and fully ignored her and because I wouldn't engage with her she made the sandwich and was dam snarly when I finally got the right order. She comes over and yells see 6 pieces double toasted not burnt! And throws it literally throws it on the counter. I used to live in the area and the service never used to be this bad. Always a great place to stop in at. There is great staff and it is always clean! I have never had a problem at the Madoc location.

Today February 27th my friend went into Tim Hortons at 10 am she had a coffee and a donut for her breakfast. She went to the counter to explain to the girls that the doughnut had no jam in it .The girls were very rude and called her a liar and as she was leaving the building they called her a bitch, there was four girls and 1 boy, he was fine and said nothing these girls should have respect not be allowed to talk to customers this way this manner should be taken care of immediately. This was an older woman she is a very nice woman and does not complain she just wanted them to be aware. She was very upset over the rudeness. read more
