Just moved to Nanaimo in Sept. I was happy to see a Timmy's so close. Unfortunately, the management at this location is questionable. The speaker is quiet on drive-through, and they either have bad equipment or they put new people on drive-through. I would say 90% of my orders have been incorrect. The only time it's been right is if I get a single coffee or tea only with no deviations.
Today I ordered 2 new steak breakfast sandwiches. The back-and-forth was bizarre. The person kept asking irrelevant questions "on an English muffin?" I said it says biscuit. "Bacon?" I read it to her "The menu says steak and egg breakfast sandwich." She said ok. I get home, and it's bacon and egg on a biscuit. That's it.
At this point I'm sick of my orders being wrong constantly. I go back and I stand there for however long. When it's my turn, I say "I want my corrected order." The woman at the counter immediately got hostile. She asked what it was. I told her that I ordered steak and egg breakfast sandwiches and I got bacon something. She didn't hear me, and asked me to repeat myself. Being behind a mask and the barrier I assume, so I raised my voice and repeated myself. Then she acted all offended and chastised me for yelling at her like that. WTF? You literally asked me to repeat it because you coudln't hear me. I said "Don't- just fix it." She told me to go "stand over there and wait". So I did. While I was on hold I called customer service. It took a while.
While I was talking to customer service, a different employee came over with a bag and said "here" and put the bag on the counter in front of me. I asked what it was, she said "sausage sandwiches." I said "Oh, that's not mine then" and stepped back. She said "you are the replacement sandwiches?" I said yes. She said "this is yours". I said "no it's not, I ordered the steak and egg breakfast sandwiches." She said "oh, she told me sausage." I assume meaning the first woman at the desk that asked me to speak up and then chastised me for doing so. I said "I don't care what she told you, I ordered steak." The whole time I'm on the phone with customer service and she heard the exchange and apologized profusely. Nobody at this location apologized or even showed any interest in either getting my order right or maintaining a minimum level of customer service. read more
