We came here as a family on Christmas Eve for the candlelight service. They offered five services throughout the day, and we decided to go to the 1pm one. The whole church was beautifully decorated for the season. There were two official photo stations for families, but honestly, you could take a picture anywhere and still get great Christmas vibes. There was a huge Christmas tree in the center of the lobby and giant nutcracker statues by the entrance--super festive. They also had several drink stations with coffee, tea, hot cocoa, apple cider, plus cookies for everyone to enjoy. The service itself was wonderful. The message really focused on the heart of Christmas and our Savior, Jesus. At the end, we lit our candles and worshipped together with classic Christmas songs, remembering God's love and grace. Friendly, tun and energetic church full of the Holy Spirit, and plenty of ways to connect through small groups, events, etc.! We were hesitant about a big church but this does it right and the pastors and leaders are truly humble genuine servants of the Lord, even accepted feedback on occasion. Friends invited to attend a service at their church and a Labor Day BbQ gathering afterwards. The pastor gave a very thought sermon and we could definitely relate to his message. Prior to the service, complimentary coffee, tea, donuts, cheese, beef jerky, bitty water was provided Everything was plentiful. Bbq hamburgers and franks with all the toppings we're provided self serve, along with soft drinks coffee, tea, bottled water. Everyone was welcoming and friendly. Had a very nice time. read more

I didn't grow up going to church, though I always believed in God. When my son was 10 he asked if we could go to Timberlake Church as he had friends that went there. I agree and we went the following Sunday. I was a little anxious pulling up. But as soon as we approached the doors all that melted. Smiling faces greeted us, pointed us in the right direction for my sons class and where service was held for me. I felt like I was home. I love that the pastor is someone you can talk to after service or via email during the week. I have now been attending Timberlake for 10 years...I love their mission and approach. My husband and I moved to Redmond last summer right after we got married. As newlyweds and new to the area we started "Church shopping" around the eastside. After visiting Timberlake we were instantly drawn to the church and didnt want to look any further. We started regularly attending Aug 2012. Timberlake has been such a blessing in our lives in many ways. The messages are challenging, practical and direct. Pastor Ben always gives you a reason to laugh at some point during his sermon. I love that Timberlake is invested spiritiaully and financially not only in the local community but around the world. Timberlake's heart for helping the lost, broken and hurting as Jesus calls us to do is incredible! We joined a growth group right away and some of our closest friends in this area have come from that group. The size of the church is perfect, small enough to recognize others and get to know the pastors, but large enough that you dont feel like an outsider coming in and plenty of new people to meet every Sunday. read more

My family attended the Castle Rock Timberlake Church for several months. All was great while they believed we had money to tithe. Once they found out our financial situation wasn't what they thought it was we were ignored. I'll never go back to this church, it's a place that focuses on money more than its people. read more

We started going to this church about 4 weeks ago, and have found the attendees and staff there to show nothing but kindness, love, and acceptance - all with a genuine smile and joy. They teach directly from the Bible which is stated on their website. I find the policies here to be more modern and in-touch with contemporary issues that we all face each day. To listen for yourself, I would recommend listening to a few of the messages on http://www.timberlakeonline.org/resources/media/ so to make your own fair assessment of the church's policies/views. In addition, the programs provided for the children are excellent, and both our toddlers enjoy going to church here. The music can be a little 'rockish' and loud sometimes, but the talent singing and performing the music are all very talented and sound like professionals. I feel that if you live on the eastside and looking for a modern refreshing church that teaches God's Word in a loving, not 'fire and brimstone', manner and where the messages are actually filled with the pastor's humor, personal stories, and jokes- then this may be the church for you (as it is for me). By the way, the congregation is made up of all walks of life (age, race, gender, and income status). Check this church out and decide for yourself- you will likely be surprisingly pleased. read more

This is a review for Timberlake church, more specifically the campus in Issaquah. When we moved to Issaquah 2 years ago, our first priority was to find a church that fit in with our family. We visited a few different churches in the area. Our priorities were bible focused messages, a great pastor, and a great kids ministry. We were skeptical about a church in the movie theater at first, but once we visited we were comfortable from the start. Nice genuine people, non pretentious atmosphere, and really a "come as you are" feel. The message from the Redmond campus is projected onto the screen, with the worship team on site. The pastors of this campus, Bryan and Thuy Rees, made us feel at home along with all who serve there. We started attending a growth group which really expanded our relationship with God. It's added such an amazing presence in our lives and we are so thankful to have found our church home. I hope anyone thinking of visiting a church in the area try out Timberlake. read more

Lots of time is spent asking for your money. Obviously an expected part of a service, but this church seems to focus on money a lot more than most. A bit high pressure. Timberlake has been our home church for 4 years now. My endless suprise with our church is how it feels small even though it is a good size church. The commutity feel to it is amazing. People are friendly, it's extremely welcoming, and Pastor Ben never fails to deliiver a scripture filled sermon that is also very relatable to our current times. Awesome Church!! They keep absolutely true to their motto which is "Casual atmosphere. Serious Faith. No weird stuff." Everyone is friendly and warm without getting in your face. The kids program is really fun and high energy. The pastor is super funny and his sermons very relatable. It's a place where you can just come and worship or dive in and volunteer. You're level of involvement is totally up to you with absolutely no pressure. My family and I are volunteers and after working with most of the staff and seeing behind the scenes we can honestly say that Timberlake is exactly what it represents itself as. These people are definitely disciples of Jesus Christ! No one there is perfect and they don't try to act like it but everyone is doing their best to walk the walk.
