Come to find out, they have been taking money out, of my account. They call it a dormant account fee. I can't give them less than a 1 or I would

Harborstone is a SCAM. They are a credit union but they have shareholders and are profiting off of…read moreyour money which is to be expected. But what is not expected is how they refuse you access to your own funds, everything has to be a song and dance with them to get to YOUR money. After a family member faced a serious life-threatening medical emergency and I needed to withdraw I faced appalling customer service. And that wasn't the first time, this was the last straw! After 20 years of banking with them, having investment, savings, and checking accounts and always carrying more than $20K as a balance in each account it is beyond frustrating and disrespectful that I the account holder had to spend an hour on the phone with various people just to withdraw and cut a check for emergency medical purposes. It's not their business what you use YOUR money for, it is YOUR money and the fact that they always want an explanation and a long drawn out difficult process that no one has time for is ridiculous. They are scam artists looking to capitalize on your money so they are offended when you withdraw. Furthermore, I close out my accounts and these greedy corporate thieves have the gall to charge me an account maintenance fee on a closed account, and threaten to send it to collections over a nominal amount that they charged after the account was closed. Bad ethics, not people to trust with your funds. Terrible customer policies and service. Beware!!!

I made the switch from Wells Fargo who I've been banking with for a long time now maybe a decade…read moredidn't really have any issues with them until I didn't have enough money in the bank and they kept charging me $20 a month just to bank with them because I wasn't meeting the requirements. Ridiculous, so asked around ...a lot of people online said go with BECU but the only reason why I chose TAPCO instead was because it's really close to my house. I couldn't be happier with this decision, not only are they not charging me to bank with them like Wells Fargo was but when I went in there the other day and was waiting for a new card; on one of their brochures It talks about rewards... which it looks like I qualify for and the one lady Michelle that's helped us before said no problem, that she'd sign me up for it, and that I didn't need to do anything more.... It was awesome! Overall, I enjoy baking with them. The one thing that would make this credit union even better is there were no age requirements on opening up an account. It'd be really nice if my 8 & 9 year old kids could get started in experiencing using a debit or credit card, but for some reason all banks and credit unions don't see the benefits in that and would rather have them turn 18, sign up for the first card while out of the house and totally botch their credit from the beginning.

They need to fire both until they can be educated on standard rules, irs rules and standard accounting. Very Poor Service. What is Tapco thinking? The worst service ever.
