I hired this company to install an ortimental fence and they did a great job. However, when it came to service work they are very poor. It tooks months for them to come and when they did, the work was sub-par. I told them how I didn't want the repair to look when it was done and they did it anyway. I've had problems every winter since installation being that my fence doors do not close properly. While I understand wood swells this seems like more than that. The gate latch is funky on the front, it's always going loose. The latch is also cheap, there was never any handles on either one just a latch? Right now the back door on my fence is not closing and it's really irritating. This is supposed to be a privacy fence. Also the concrete pour was awful it spilled into my flower beds when installed. read more

Recently we had a wooden fence replaced by Timberland Fence. The contract was signed Sept 2022, but the work didn't begin until late July 2023. The communication & turnaround time is AWFUL. Trisha is the "project manager" and is filled with a million excuses & false promises. The demo was fine. The problems started when the install began. Timberland had one installer & one "helper." Both worked when they wanted to. The install was finally "completed" around August 20th, but there were MANY issues along the way such as: * Several areas had to be redone, including the back gate & post, and two panels. This included having to reset a new, larger post in new concrete. * Several pieces of rotted wood were used, including boards & a post that both face the city sidewalk. Trisha refused to replace anything. Instead she suggested we use "wood putty" to make it more visually appealing. * Splits & rips in the wood. These are not because of the wood's natural characteristics. They are the result of the fence installers "lazy work ethic," as quoted by a Timberland employee. Also, according to the fence installer, we shouldn't expect some spots to last "longer than 3-4 years." Trisha refused to replace, and again recommended "wood putty." * Unprofessional customer service. Trisha shouted & put her finger in my face when I expressed my dissatisfaction for the sub par craftsmanship & installation errors. *Rude management! Tony the "president" and husband to Trisha used profanity when we called to, once again, discuss problems. Among other things, Tony shouted the F word (about me) in the background during a phone conversation with Trisha. Trisha's favorite line is "It's fine; It's fine." She is rude & unprofessional & refuses to correct obvious craftsmanship errors. During the job, an employee admitted that Timberland rushes through jobs & cuts corners. They also stated they've had to "return to every single job" because of problems similiar to mine. I do not expect the fence to last. I am giving one star because it looks good from afar, but come close & you'll see the shotty craftsmanship. I'm keeping the Timberland sign up so people know exactly who installed it and GO ELSEWHERE! I would NOT recommend this company. Even if it's free, keep looking. They couldn't care less about the customer or craftsmanship. I would NEVER even consider using Timberland Fence again. Ever. read more

The fence that was installed in my yard is simply amazing. The work was done when it was scheduled. The workers were great. Tony the owner was very professional. He came out to my house more than once to do the measurements and answer questions from my wife. The quality of the wood is outstanding. The cedar is beautiful. They made a custom size gate for me and it turned out great. The gate is extremely study with no sagging at all. Very heavy duty hardware make sure that the gate is also secure. Was there a wait time to get my fence installed? Yes, there was because they were fully booked for installations. The wait was soooo worth it. I The entire process was fantastic and I would use them again with out a doubt. Tony is very knowledgeable about local ordinances as well. Fantastic company!! read more

STAY AWAY!!!! Tony, the owner, is rude and extremely unprofessional. He doesn't care about making the customer happy. Calls & texts are ignored and when he does talk to you it's lie after lie. Our neighbors used them for their yard but a portion of our yard then needed to be enclosed. He agreed to what we asked for but then the install was not what we wanted. We informed them of this as they were doing it but they continued to finish the work anyhow telling us it's city code. Well after speaking to the city, they agreed how we wanted it done was also approved. We asked him to change it. He then said we never told him how we wanted the fence, changing his story about it being according to code. He said "it's done & I'm not doing shit!" (Great way to speak to someone). I would not use Timberland Fence ever again. We gave a deposit in June and were told to expect the job to be done in 8 weeks. They never followed up. I called them after 8 weeks and they said they would maybe install in September. I said that was disappointing and the woman asked if I wanted to cancel. I said no, and they finally showed up in October. The crew had no idea what type of fence or gate to install. They installed it too high. They left big piles of concrete, stone and dirt in our yard. When I called the office the woman told me to look at my contract which said I was responsible for dirt removal. They left concrete in addition to dirt. The sales guy was nice, of course, but everything with the company after that was horrible. This is my first Yelp review, but we were treated so badly I wanted to share. read more

Someone recommended that I give Timberland Fence a call for a quote on putting up a new fence for our yard. I explained in detail over the phone what we wanted done and set up the appointment. Day of appointment I received a notice they were on their way over to meet my husband to give him a quote. Entire appointment was less than 90 seconds, my husband was told the job "was too small" and that "he wouldn't make a profit". Maybe your phone screeners should ask the square footage of the property prior to making appointments so when a private citizen wants a privacy fence, they don't waste your time for the job being "too small". Your loss is another companies gain. Thank you TImberland Fence for allowing me to give my hard earned money to another company that doesn't think our wanted and needed backyard fence is "too small". read more

She knew, based on the area of our house, who likely installed our fence that is in need of some minor repair, and--even though she said they are swamped with work right now--she offered to swing by on her way through our area today to take a look. My wife and I were very pleased with the original instalation and quality of our fence. The installation team was very professional and did great work. However, In less than 5 years we had a severe slop with two of the twenty-one posts. We reached out to the company and they wanted to charge us an additional $300 to fix the problem; which they assesed was due to water levels in our community. We were told there were a multitude of simmilar issues with customers that pre-dated our installation. I point this out because they were aware of the water level in our community prior to installation but declined to bore the holes for the posts deep enough to pre-emptively address the problem which; four years later, was offered as the solution to the problem. Additionally; there is another fence adjacent to ours (installed by someone else) that does not have the same slop problem. Based on our expierence I would not reccomend this company because of their unwillingness to stand behind their work. I would like to point out, however, that the straight parts look great.
