There are lots of parts and pieces to being a business owner. Some of them I knew when I started my business I could handle. Others I knew I didn't want to touch with a 10 foot pole. Payroll was one of them. I can manage making sure my employees turn in their time sheets, Sign them and have the correct hours on them. However I did not want to deal with having to make sure they were being paid correctly, taking the right about of taxes out for the state they lived in and making sure all the other details relating to paying employees was taken care of. So when I got the the point in my business that I had employees who needed to be paid I know exactly what to do. That was HIRE someone else who I could trust. I had heard nothing but negative from previous companies I had worked at regarding the big national payroll companies so I knew I didn't want to use one of them, so when my bookkeeper recommended a local company I was happy to give them a try. They have provided a completely seamless process to where all I have to do is spend two minutes reviewing the numbers each payroll period which means more time that I can dedicate to making money and keeping clients happy. Every pay period they send a reminder about 5 days before running payroll in case I have any changes. Then they send very detailed payroll documentation for my bookkeeper and accountant.
