I am furious. I was notified by email yesterday that my auto-pay was suddenly declined with an active credit card. I was on the phone with four reps, explaining this in the most polite terms. I got two hang-ups and by the fourth rep and two hours on the phone, I simply gave another card, because I was told I would have to transfer to another line to ensure payment. Then, I received a new email that the "new" card payment is declined. There is no problem with this card either. Previously, I have had other issues with pick-up. I see several negative reviews on the site recently. Go elsewhere, if you have local options. GFL is a disaster. read more

GFL is the worst trash service ever. Please notice that they're good reviews were in 2020. If less than one star was an option, I would have chosen that. If you don't see the bad reviews for GFL on Yelp, look on Next Door or your neighborhood website and you'll see tons of bad reviews about them there. I don't remember ever leaving a bad review for anyone online in my entire life, but I am so frustrated and wouldn't want anyone in surrounding neighborhoods to experience this. We haven't had our trash picked up in two weeks. They took the money from our account, yet, we had to call Uhaul and get a van and physically take our trash to Stafford County Waste last week and looks like we're going to have to do the same thing today. I'm trying to find their address this morning so I can personally go into the office and cancel my account because their customer service is the worst. The phone just rings and rings, and when they finally pick up we're placed on hold for hours - literally. You can clean your entire house waiting for them to pick up the phone. Makes no sense! Find another trash company if you know what's good for you. Our beautiful neighborhood has been lined with trash bins for some days now. read more

We always had good service with time disposal, but since it became county waste/gfl we have repeatedly had the trash truck go right by and not pick up. Several other times they left trash when they did stop. Today, 4/26/22, after not picking up the week before, they graced us with their presence, only to leave one bag of trash in my driveway and throw a pair of work gloves down on the shoulder of the road. We are in the process of finding a new company, and certainly would not recommend this company. read more

Look elsewhere for service. These folks have no customer service consideration whatsoever. I had to spend 25+ mins every day for 4 days to find out why my trash (and out entire cul-de-sac) wasn't being picked up. After 4 days straight of calling and various excuses, fiinally found it was due to a power line near the cul-de-sac that was too low for the truck to safely pass under However, no attempt was made to notify us or find an alternate solution, however, they were completely fine with taking money without offering service for over 3 weeks. I've spoken with about 6 different representatives and all have assured me the trash would be picked up - it has not happened as we move into another week. I was even told a smaller truck would swing by to avoid the line issue (note: FedEx and UPS deliver without issue, the line is maybe 4 inches lower than normal). Either way, communication goes a long way. Fair warning. Go anywhere else. I've already cancelled and am seeking service elsewhere. read more

Time Disposal (then County Waste, now GFL) decided to not pick up trash or recycling due to snow. Understandable. However they did not reschedule at all. They also didn't pick up recycling the following week (it is biweekly). This is on top of just raising rates. And to top it off, they won't offer a credit, and it is due to snow again right before the next scheduled pickup. So that'll probably be a month and a half without recycling pickup. read more

I was house-sitting for a family out in the county and heading fortunately pulled my back out I had called them to say hey don't bother picking up the trash here cuz I can't get it to the curb because I pulled my back well before I know it I'm looking outside the window and the gentleman came all the way down the drive which is no quick trip to drag the trash cans up dump them and put them back where they were I was just blown away by that I couldn't get out there fast enough to tip him but I just need to let you know that it was exemplary and it made me feel so much better thank you thank you thank you thank read more

Time Disposal is currently contracted to handle the dumpsters in our neighborhood (Peacock Hill). They routinely arrive in the 3-5am range, waking up our family and others in the neighborhood with 30-minutes of loud clanging and beeping. We've asked them to come at a more reasonable time on numerous occasions. At one point the owner promised they'd not come before 7am and said he'd fire the driver if he came earlier than that. But that was just lip service - this time the owner says, "I am sorry this was a filin driver I told him he can't dump before 6:00 am later if possible Sorry for the inconvenience" read more

When it's your weekly trash pickup day, there are several inches of snow on the ground, and it is supposed to keep snowing for several more hours, you wouldn't be surprised if the trash truck driver decided to delay your weekly pickup until the roads were more drivable. That's just part of living in the country. So we were surprised when we received a personal courtesy call from Time Disposal informing us that the driver had decided that the roads were getting too difficult to drive on and they would be delaying our weekly pickup. They didn't have to call individual customers to to inform us, but they did. They're obviously a customer-oriented company. Well done, Time Disposal. read more
