I have an old wall clock that belonged to my uncle, and so when it stopped running I did want to…read moretry to get it fixed, but honestly, there are not many people left who work on completely mechanical clocks. I was happy to find Speedway Clock Repair not too far from my house and when I called, Mark was able to confirm that he and his daughter did work on the type of clock I had. I dropped it off on August 12, 2019, and was given an estimate of 12-16 months until it would be done (gulp!). Yes, this is pretty standard for clock repair. There are so few people still doing it, and it is time consuming work (no pun intended!). I felt better seeing all the really amazing clocks in the shop, and Mark pointed out a few that were over 100 years old. He and his daughter repair grandfather clocks, wall clocks like mine, amazing intricate cuckoo clocks and mantle clocks. I picked up my finished clock on October 2, 2020 and Mark took the time to make sure I knew how to maintain it and helped me pack it safely into my car to take it home. They test all clocks for quite some time before sending them home which is much appreciated. They have a side building just for hanging almost finished clocks to make sure they're keeping good time and running smoothly, and I could then see that my clock was indeed running and chiming again! There is easy parking in an adjacent lot. The cost of the service was incredibly reasonable ($125 for cleaning and lubricating plus all the time testing and adjusting).

As a technician, I understand the importance of being able to concentrate when doing a repair. Those "entitled" people who think they have a right to watch (because they are paying for a repair service) should stop acting like they are entitled.... you are not! WOAH This store is…read moreso BEAUTIFUL! **New to Greenwood - Greenwood Park Mall** They have an impressive selection of bridal, name brands like Gabriel, colored stones, watches, and fashion jewelry. There is SO MUCH to look at. Austin, the store manager, is very knowledgeable and he and his staff were very friendly. They have a jeweler that works in house on Fridays. I asked for the turnaround time as we depart out of state on Monday and she said it typically is about a week or slightly less. I told her I was from out of state so I would have to have my sister pickup my ring for me. She went and talked to the Jeweler and he was able to squeeze me in the same day! She also took the time to go through my papers from 10 years ago and clean up my record in their system so next time it would be easier to find my information and ring details. I have been looking as a few different Tag Heuer watches on line, and wanted to try some on before I was ready to buy one. My wife and I stopped in there after dinner one night to see the selection. We were greeted and offered water or specialty coffee. The girl that greeted us showed us the Tag cases and told us that she was not part of the watch dept and the person that is the Tag specialist was with a customer, and would be over shortly. They had the 2 that I was looking at online and wanted to try on for feel. The Tag specialist Tiffany came over and greeted us and went through all the different styles. I told her that I was just trying on fro size and feel. She was in no way pressuring me to by. Then I saw in the case one that I have never seen online before. I fell in love with it. The $ was way out of the budget, and Tiffany explained that Tag had just dropped all the prices on 90% of the models. She looked up the Jared price and it was right at where I wanted to be. I was amazed & didn't even tell her my range. My wife really liked it as well and told me to just get it. She even took my ORIS TT diver back to the watch repair persona and he was able to buff all the scratches off and make it look brand new. This made me really happy because Reis - Nichols told me that 1. Oris is not a luxury brand. 2.that they could not get any of the scratches off the band. So this really made me happy that Jared was able to see what they could do. This place has completely changed my mind on jewelry stores. Tiffany and the staff are amazing and really made this experience awesome. This will be my store of choice going forward. if you are looking for a new watch stop in and ask for her, she knows her stuff and don't be fooled by the Jared online prices. The store has better pricing.

Testament to buy online…read more I'm not sure if it's incompetence or pure laziness. What should have been a simple exchange turned into me applying for multiple lines of credit against my better judgement with the salesperson confident that it wouldn't be an issue every step of the way. Do yourself a favor shop for what you like in store and buy online.
