I met Timothy at a social event and then became friends on Facebook with him. Over time I enjoyed his posts about things he saw and did in the real estate business. During this time I developed an opinion of him as a respectable, honest, and hard working agent, so naturally when it came time for me to buy a house I gave him a call. I don't recall how long we looked for a home but in that time Timothy was available and prompt. When we would view houses together he would offer insight into how the house was made, common problems with materials and construction, and point out things we would have otherwise overlooked. Things like roof slopes that were not original, repairs to siding and possible reasons for it. We found this very helpful in avoiding costly mistakes and ensuring piece of mind with out purchase. When we finally found the house we wanted he helped us craft an early offer that was accepted before any other offers even came in. This kind of help is critical in the sellers market we were in. All through the process Timothy was informative and helpful. He had recommendations for inspectors and loan agents and everyone was sound. The buying/inspecting process went smoothly and we now have a wonderful home for our entire family. Dear Mrs. E, We still remember the letter you wrote, telling us about how much you loved our home and how much you looked forward to raising your children in it. The vision you composed of filling our house with music and love was very heartwarming and exactly how we wanted to pass on our beloved home. Trying to find a replacement home was difficult enough but dealing with you and your representation in conjunction made it nearly impossible. You have made statements in a public forum as if they were factual, but are merely your opinions that are based on fiction or your incorrect perception of events. We are writing now to set the record straight. When we entered in to a contract with you, it was for the contracted specified amount of time, 45 days, and the reasons the process was drawn out was NOT because of our agent but because of the reasons specified below: 1) After 2.5 months, approx. 75 days, in to escrow your loan package was still not complete. 2) Your agent, Al Strohecker, was unable to respond in a timely fashion or capable of using modern technology to send and receive documents 3) We found a replacement house, had it appraised, inspected, and we were ready to close escrow and you hadn't started your loan process to purchase our home. We lost that house and the money we spent for appraisal and inspections. It wasn't drawn out because we weren't ready. It was drawn out because you and your respresentation were unable, unwilling, and unready. Furthermore, when we finally contacted Ted Schultz, your realtors broker, he was nothing but apologetic, and sympathetic for the comedy of errors that we had experienced. So much so that he was wiling to pay fees, that we had previously agreed to pay, in order to apologize for the poor experience that Al, and you had put us through. In response to your claims of unprofessional actions: 1) After 2.5 months in escrow with you, and already losing one home because of your unwillingness to commit to buying our house, you were on the verge of putting our next escrow in jeopardy too. Because your agent was unresponsive, our agent contacted your lender, which is normal in a professional escrow, and discovered you had not submitted your financial docs or requested the appraisal. For this not to have been done so far in to the process is ludicrous. 2) When your lender, Michelle Olson of First Priority Financial, became as unresponsive as your agent we did not know who else to contact and out of desperation our agent emailed the corporate office. Thankfully the president of that company, who was horrifically embarrassed by his employee's actions, called Timothy Brown personally to apologize. 3) When our agent replied to YOUR email no insult was intended. Contracts are a black and white issue, we abide by our responsibilities or the contract can be terminated. Extending your contract cost us at every turn. Your demands to change the terms were not only illegal but immoral. 4) Once again your failure to commit to the contract caused egregious delays and for us to blow our loan lock on our replacement home. This caused us to have to pay an additional $1500 penalty, which was entirely unnecessary. Having to pay this penalty was a hard-ship for us and since you are the one that caused the penalty it is not unreasonable to ask for you to pay for it. 5) As far as the keys and rent back agreement, which never existed, we are going to point to your agent again. Al Strohecker lost the key from our lock box, when he came in to our house without permission. He actually told us to put something heavy in front of the door as a security measure. Thankfully his broker, Ted Schultz, is much more reasonable and made your agent pay for having our locks changed. In regards to the rent back, we asked your agent for a rent back agreement weeks before the close of the deal but Al Strohecker never had time to put it together. Although you feel the injustice was solely yours I hope with the presentation of these facts you can see that Mr. Strohecker did you an injustice by letting you, an inexperienced first time buyer, control the process to our mutual detriment. Our agent, Timothy Brown, is one of the best in the business, as evidenced by the glowing comments he has received from the many satisfied friends on his page. I call them friends because that is how he treats you. You are not simply a client, or customer to Timothy Brown, you are someone he values and wants the best for. He views his job as one who educates and guides his friends in making one of the largest purchases they will ever make. He fights for you and works hard for you. All the things that he did throughout our deal were with respect to us and yes, to you as well.
