Where do I start ? Back in the day of the mortgage melt…read moredown, I needed help with a bad mortgage and McFarlin was retained to do so. It was don't pay your mortgage and pay me + $2000 a month for the year it took to resolve the issues. In and of itself, yes, I was able to keep my home and not have the evil mortgage company (They were GMAC then Homecomings and then OCWEN, finally PHH Mortgage) from foreclosing after I began the process as there was violations of TILA and RESPA - I believe there were something like 14 total violations written into my loans. What I didn't know until years later after hiring other lawyers to research all of this is that McFarlin was getting paid by both me and the mortgage company. That's illegal for those who don't know. Over the years, I have attempted to contact the firm, only once was I able to see and talk to McFarlin in the office when I went and sat in the lobby and wouldn't leave until he saw and spoke to me. He told me he was being investigated by the California BAR (CALBAR). He was, he still is. He is on their hit list for all the fraud he has committed over the years, that's what they told me. The CALBAR is incredibly incompetent and can't do much correctly, and remember that lawyers run the courts and the laws are written by them to help only lawyers, it's not about you at all. The customer? Who's that and why do they matter? - We don't matter. I've been chasing McFarlin to assist me for nearly 2 years after discovering the he had taken the HELOC I had along with all the fee's (for the lawyers and interest etc.) and wrapped it up into a balloon payment due at the end of the mortgage at 0% - sounds great right ? Well, no. Now that the rates had dropped I wanted to refinance this (starting in 2019) and I can not, as the mortgage is locked with the balloon payment and now in order to refinance one I would need to refinance both. PHH will not release one loan to refinance and will not help with a loan modification to help reduce the costs. The lawyer who created this issue, and was paid by me and the mortgage company, will not help or get back to me. The bottom line, I owed more on my home in 2020 than the original purchase price of it in 2006, after paying for it (with a conventional 30year loan - it was not an interest only) for nearly 15 years - folks - that's 50% of the time on the loan. The balance should have been 50% (approximately) of the original loan balance by then. I will end up paying more than 150% of the initial cost of the home, then add on to that the interest over the years and the numbers are astronomical. WHY ? Because my lawyer, Tim McFarlin won't and didn't take care of me, he's in it to line his pocket no matter how nice he seems. If he cared, he would have resolved this issue, as he's had a ton of time to do so. Now, because of it, I've reported you to the CALBAR - and I'm not the only one that have them looking into you, counsel and you've forced my hand to write up this to tell everyone to stay the heck away from you and don't believe that you will help them in the way that you say. Sorry to burst anyone's bubble. Please avoid like the plague and I don't mean Covid, McFarlin's worse. Cheers. PS - feel free to contact me, I'll be happy to answer any questions you might have.

From start to finish, they made it pleasant for me. Truly, McFarland LLC should be your first and last stop. Talien was very informative and answered all my questions. Iris, the secretary was very sweet and patient.
