One star is one too many…read more We retained Attorney Ira Wiesner for a Florida estate matter in June of 2021. The process was incredibly slow and frustrating- which may well be "the process." In fairness, it is hard to say when you're grieving and helping to manage a loved one's affairs. However, the law firm failed to respond to phone calls or emails for updates- including requests from the attorney that referred us. This is unacceptable and incredibly unprofessional. When Wiesner Law repeatedly failed to meet their own deadlines after 3 months, we severed ties and asked for an itemized list of billable hours. We never received a response.

Upon reviewing standard documents that were emailed to me, I found several errors which I brought to his attention. Those were not the only red flags, as things worsened. Ultimately, he did file in court HOWEVER he failed to pay the filing fee, which caused the case to drop out ( neither he nor the case was visible on the court portal). He claimed to have numerous conversations with the other party's attorney, which in reality amounted to one email, verified by said attorney. Furthermore, he did not contact me from October 2024 until i terminated his services in April 2025. There is an abundance of attorneys in the Sarasota/ Manatee area; I suggest you seek legal counsel elsewhere.
