In a day where auto repairs are expensive and many auto technicians are trusted about the same as congressmen, Tim's Alignment is a refreshing experience. Tim, a former Marine (are Marines ever "former" Marines?) is a car guy's car guy. He's also an avid angler and fishing tackle is for sale in his showroom, even more fishing stuff than automobile accessories. If you look up "honesty" or "integrity" in the dictionary, you'll find a picture of Tim. If he says your car needs certain parts, be assured, it does. If he thinks your brakes can go another 10,000 miles, he's not going to sell you an unneeded brake repair. If he says you need a repair, it will be done in a timely fashion and at a fair price. Tim also sells pre-owned vehicles. He stands behind his cars with the added benefit of discounts on repairs for buyers of his used cars. How much do I prefer Tim's? I'm one of several customers who lives over 50 miles from Peebles and trusts Tim with their cars. read more

My dad took our family's cars to Tim's for longer than I've been alive. Tim knows our family, our cars, and roughly how we use them (for example: my brother goes hunting a lot, I travel to/from Oshkosh and Fond du Lac regularly with visits to Green Bay and Whitewater). Unless it's an emergency, I refuse to take my car anywhere else. Tim and his family are the most honest people in the car repair business, and they also ALWAYS explain to me what's going on in terms I can understand-- since I don't know cars, that's invaluable. Plus, their prices are the best I've ever seen. Tim's Alignment is the only place I wholeheartedly trust with my car! read more

I found out about Tim's Alignment by accident. My daughter had car trouble one night on her way back to school in Oshkosh. A good samaritan stopped to help her, and he happened to work at Tim's. That car was toast as far as I was concerned. Not worth enough to put the needed repairs into it. I bought a used car from Tim, and he took the old car off my hands and gave me a generous trade value for it. I have since bought 2 other cars from Tim's and he's even taken some back in trade that I bought from him. I have always trusted Tim, his family, and his workers. I live 85 miles away but I still get most major repairs done at Tim's because the cost is generally half what others estimate. When I first became a customer, I lived 110 miles away. Tim's shop is extremely busy, which I consider to be a sign of satisfied customers not wanting to take a chance elsewhere. Tim has an excellent network of suppliers and other service providers so unforeseen problems, while inconvenient, do not cause major delays. I am proud to be a regular customer and look forward to many more worthwhile trips to the Fond Du Lac/Peebles area. read more

very bad service lost my coolant overflow cover, oil drain plug was not tight leaking oil in my garage & when they were finished screwing up the oil change they never cleaned off my steering wheel was dirty i would not ever go back again....... my advise start hiring better help...... read more

He had issues with it and took it back several times to get it fixed for several different issues. Not only did he charge to fix it but everything he said they fixed was not fixed at all. Was told he got a new ac compressor and lines put in so the ac would work and guess what that quit working. We told them the back tires were wearing out on the outside edge and that it needed an alignment and new tires. so he did put new tires on the back and said he did an alignment and wouldn't you know it happened again a few months later so that means he didn't do an alignment at all and charged him for it. And the reason he took it to him was bc it's AWD and it being so bad out of alignment when it goes over snow only the car feels like it's a damn boat on the water so it was very dangerous. And again remember this is a 16 year old kid that was supposed to be very close to them. I've seen the shady work they do on cars. Even putting an oil change sticker on and the oil wasn't even changed. We will never ever trust them again. Scam artists

They do not take the time to diagnose correctly and assumes instead using a process of elimination. He wants your money and to move the next person in. He literally lies to your face telling you he checked things he didn't check (he tried to tell me a dying battery would not make a AC compressor malfunction. WOW) to make a proper diagnosis.They use your hard earned money to diagnose, instead of protocol. He gave me three different estimates to replace the same part. Verbal was $600. Then a phone call and it went up to $1200. A no call, no show for a appointment and he calls me and tells me he'll do it for $800. We have a maintenance plan we purchased with our vehicle and he was trying to soak us for what ever he could. I had questions about his diagnosis in the first place and left a note for him to call before any work was preformed and he did not call and just started working on it anyway. To top it all off. He fixed nothing. It is exactly the same as when took it in because he didn't check voltage on the battery. Complete incompetency. Before all this I took my truck there for a oil change/tire rotation. I had to go back twice. Forgot my air cleaner cover and did something to one of my tires and it would not hold air. They also didn't reset the tire monitoring system. It took 2 1/2 hrs. for that. Honestly this business is full of incompetency from the front desk to the so called "master mechanics". I gave them multiple chances to build a relationship with this business, but I'm in the same boat as when I started, only my pocket book is lighter. He takes on way to many customers apparently to actually do a quality job. He's a greedy, little, lying, con artist. Stay away read more

Tim's Alignment is a Great family owned company to work for. Tim's Alignment and Auto Service is looking to expand their team of employees. We are looking for 2 technicians. One entry level technician who will be responsible for doing oil changes, tire rotations, and general maintenance on vehicles that come into the shop. The Second technician must have 3 years' experience, must be ASE certified (or must be willing to become ASE certified within the first year), must be able to, diagnose vehicle repairs, work on brakes, front end suspension, and knowledge of working on transmissions.
